5 Products I Will Always Repurchase

Hello guys! Welcome back to our blog! Today I want to share my five favorite makeup products that I cannot live without that I think are definitely worth the money and that I’ve repurchased myself multiple times:

1. Becca First Light priming filter

This is a pricy primer, but if you have dry to normal skin and you want an illuminating primer that is not sparkly or glittery this is a great one. It won’t make your skin look fake or that you’re wearing makeup, but it’ll make your skin dewy and a little more moisturized. I wear this every day before I put on foundation and it makes my skin look great!

2. NYX Microbrow pencil in taupe

This is my favorite brow pencil! It is very pigmented, the shade taupe is perfect for my hair and skin tone, the pencil itself is creamy. I also love that it is drugstore price, this is a staple for me and my routine since I cannot bring myself to pay $20 for the Anastasia or any other high end pencil.

3. ITcosmetics Hello Light Creme Highlighter in Radiance

This is my favorite cream highlighter, it is gorgeous, so creamy and blends out easily with your fingers. I always slap this on in the morning and the glow is very pretty and wet look. I have literally already went through one of these and repurchased

4. NYX Control Freak brow gel

This is a lovely brow gel! It definitely keeps my brows in place all day, it is drugstore price, it works well for me and I like that it doesn’t make my brows crunchy. I definitely recommend it and it’s a regular in my routine.

5. Urban Decay vice lipstick in Violate

My favorite lipstick of all time is this one, it is a beautiful mauve-purple-pink! I always pair this with cool toned eye looks and I just love it. It is the perfect nude pink for me and the formula is great and high quality.

That is it for this post guys! I hope you enjoyed it. Tell me in the comments something you have repurchased and can’t live without!

Urban decay naked Smokey pallet

Hello my lovlies! I want to apologize for my lack of blogging over the last few months. A life update is soon to come explaining more into why i haven’t been blogging much! I promise though you will see more of me now!

I have been wanting to type up a blog on this makeup pallet for awhile now. Recently i have been getting really into eyeshadows, i really love how you can express yourself through it. I got this Urban Decay Smokey Pallet for Christmas this year and i really loved it! Normally ( espesically during fall and winter) I wear more neutral colors like brown and nude. So this pallet was perfect for me!

The Shades:

As you can see in the picture above, a lot of these shades can be worn for both an everyday look and a night out. For example the browns, pinks, and golds can be used for an every day look, while the blacks, metalics and blues can be used for a night out!

The first three shades i absolutley love! Perfect for a subtle glowing look. I found the pigment pay off to be very good! this is only after one swipe of my finger. I know with more shimmery colors its sometimes a bit dodgey on if it will last or not, but i was pleasantly surprised on it lasting the whole day. As many of you know by now i dont really wear makeup for the whole day, at tops i will wear it for 6-9 hours, so when i say the makeup last the whole day thats what i mean! When it comes to which of these three shades are my favorite, i really cant decide. I have done many looks with these three shades together. First i will use the sweet shade first on my crease, then has a transition shade i use dirtysweet and then on the outer corner of my lids i use the radar shade.

These next shades i have to say i havent tested out very much. These dark metalic blues/grey/blacks never look flattering on me so i never wear them. Just as the shades previous to these ones though, the pigment pay off was wonderful on these ones. I totally loved how creamy all of these shades were, and how easily they applied onto the eyes!

As i stated above, the darker shades like black and greys dont look good on me, so unfortunatley i havent tested out blackmarket or smolder much other than for these swatches. Password though is a more of a brown shade which i really am a fan of. Although this one turned out to look a bit greyish on the swatch, it turned out really well if you put a little bit on the outer corners of your eyelids.

Aside from the first three swatches i showed you, this is definetly another favorite shades. Whiskey and combust are the two that i use the most and i use thirteen on the inner corners of my eyelids to brighten up my eyes. Once again i cannot express how much i love the creaminess of these shades enough. Its so easy to apply, and it last so long!

All in all i give this eyeshadow pallet a 5/5 stars. I didnt really have any issues with this pallet!

tata!

Beauty Empties: May and June

Hello guys! Welcome back to our blog. Today I am going to share my empties from May and June, so let’s get into it:

Makeup:

I have no makeup empties this month which is a first!

Skincare:

Vapour Beauty Oil Cleanser – This is a lovely oil cleanser! It really does get my makeup off and I enjoy it a lot. Unfortunately, this is kind of expensive and I want to get a cheaper alternative, maybe from Burts Bees, so I wouldn’t repurchase.

Derma-e Hydrating Eye Cream – I really like this eye cream, I definitely enjoy it more than any other eye cream I’ve tried. I feel like it really helps de-puff the area and fill out the skin under my eyes, like plump it up and prevent wrinkles. Already repurchased!

Trillipiderm Rehydration Night Cream sample – I enjoyed this sample, but the full size of this night cream is $43.00! I think my Derma E hydrating night cream is just as hydrating and does even more for my skin, and it is half the price. Wouldn’t purchase this.

Haircare:

Giovanni 2chic Avocado and Olive Oil Ultra Moist Shampoo sample  – I like this shampoo and I used it for a while, but it is a little too harsh for my hair and I prefer my Alba Botanica one! Wouldn’t purchase.

Giovanni 2chic Avocado and Olive Oil Ultra Moist Conditioner sample – This is a lovely conditioner as well, and it is something I definitely would purchase after I go through back ups of my MOP one.

Giovanni 2chic Avocado and Olive Oil Leave in Conditioner and Styling Elixir – This is a product that I love from Giovanni! I notice a big difference in my curls and how much less they curl up if I don’t use it. I’ve already repurchased!

Bodycare:

Tree Hut Shea Sugar Scrub in Coconut Lime – This brand has the best body scrubs I have ever tried in my life and I absolutely loved this to the last bit. I have another scent right now in my shower (lychee and plum). Repurchased already!

FHF Organics Island Elixir Shea Butter Hand Cream – I enjoyed this hand cream, it was nice, the price isn’t bad, but I prefer other hand creams over this so I wouldn’t repurchase!

Alaffia Coconut Reishi Hand and Body cream in scent Coconut Chai – This is one of the hand creams I enjoy more! It has a lovely warm sweet scent (it is pretty heavily scented) and it is a great, moisturizing lotion. Definitely am repurchasing this!

That was it for my empties this month, I hope you guys enjoyed this post! Let me know something that you used up in the comments down below!

My Current Makeup Wishlist

hello guys! Welcome back to our blog. Today I want to share with you guys my makeup wishlist, aka all the products I really want to buy and will purchase as soon as I can afford them, so let’s get into it:

Tarte Amazonian clay blush in Dollface

This is such a gorgeous pink blush, and I really love the color as well as the packaging! These blushes are really highly recommended on youtube and I have always wanted a nice, single blush to use because I have so many in palettes, but it isn’t convenient to bring blush palettes for travel with me for the weekend so I just want one of these tarte blushes!

First Aid Beauty Hello FAB bendy avocado concealer

I learned about this because Jessica Braun recommended it! I always have a hard time with concealer creasing on me, and this one sounds so promising. I definitely want to try this because I think it would really work for me.

Physicians Formula The Healthy Foundation in LC1

I’ve heard that this is a medium coverage foundation with a beautiful natural finish and I love how it looks when I see it on other people! I definitely want to try it out for myself since I have been looking for a nice medium coverage foundation for a long time.

Too faced Born This Way foundation in Swan

This is another foundation that I have always wanted to try for the same reasons! This is a huge youtube favorite and it is really hyped up so I really want to try it out for myself.

Coloupop You Had Me At Hello Palette

This I want to try because I have seen so many people use it and the quality seems beautiful. The shades are beautiful and warm toned, purple themed which I have been so into lately and I think those shades work really well with my cool toned skin and brown eyes!

That is it for my beauty wishlist! Of course there are tons more products that I want but I definitely don’t need to add that many more to my collection so I will try to talk myself out of buying them! Let me know what you have on your wishlist in the comments below!

Milani Retouch and Erase Concealer Review

Hello guys! Welcome back to our blog. Today I want to share a review on a concealer that I really love from the drugstore that I haven’t heard anyone talk about in a while. For me this is a drugstore gem and I want to share it:

Overview:

  • $8.99
  • comes in 3 shades
  • cruelty free

Promise: Milani’s Retouch + Erase Light-Lifting Concealer is designed to instantly hide dark circles, spots, blemishes and imperfections with a brightening effect. (From Ulta’s website)

So I really love this concealer because it blends out really easily with your fingers, or a sponge. It gives a nice sheer-medium coverage on me and the really yellow tone of the concealer makes it nice for covering my undereye circles. Continue reading “Milani Retouch and Erase Concealer Review”

May Beauty Favorites!

Hello guys! Welcome back to our blog. Today I want to share my makeup favorites as well as some other beauty favorites so lets jump into it:

Makeup

NYX Worth The Hype waterproof mascara

As you guys know I love  the regular version of this mascara, but I accidentally bought the waterproof version this time when I repurchased it, and I love it. It keeps my lashes curled all day, it is super black, it definitely is officially waterproof (It lasted through a good cry), and it never leaves smudge rings under my eyes!

Smashbox Hydrating Undereye Primer

This is a product that I just shopped my stash for this past month. It is really nice at hydrating my undereye area and my concealer goes on so much smoother when I use it! I also find that this makes a nice primer for my face underneath foundation as well, so I absolutely love it. Continue reading “May Beauty Favorites!”

Itcosmetics Hello Light Creme Illuminator Review

Hello guys! Welcome back to our blog. Today I want to review a lovely product that I have been using for years and have not heard that many people talk about! For me this is one of my holy grails and I always repurchase it, so let’s get into the review:

Overview:

  • Price: $24
  • Cream highlighter
  • One shade
  • Cruelty free!

Promise: An anti-aging powerhouse for naturally pretty, lit from within skin! The IT Cosmetics Hello Light Anti-Aging Creme Illuminizer is all about the look of light, natural radiance and illumination. The formula is infused with skin-loving anti-aging and hydrating ingredients including peptides, hyaluronic acid, hydrolyzed collagen, silk and vitamins A, C, & E (From the Ulta website)

So that is a lot of promises! But this product really lives up to its claims and I really enjoy it. It does make your skin look lit from within, it is a highlight that will give you a natural wet look rather than being super sparkly or glittery. For me this is the highlighter I wear every day, it looks gorgeous, natural and it is everything I need in a highlighter. It doesn’t emphasize texture on my skin as much as powder highlighters do.

I also love the texture of this product because it is very soft and creamy and it blends in well with just your fingers. It’s just a quick and easy to apply highlighter that looks great in any lighting. I think that this highlight wakes my skin up and makes me look much healthier and like my skin is really lit from within. I don’t think that this product lives up to its anti-aging claims because I would have no idea how to measure that, but it definitely does look great!

Swatch:

Pros:

  • not glittery, very natural and pretty
  • cruelty free!
  • applies easily with fingers or a brush
  • gives you a wet look
  • decent price

Cons:

  • only comes in one shade
  • some gimmicky claims

That is my review on this highlighter! I hope you guys enjoyed this post. Let me know if you guys have ever tried this product in the comments, or let me know what your favorite highlighter is!
