Urban Decay Primer Potion Review

Hey guys! Welcome back to our blog! Today I am going to review the famous Urban Decay eye primer and let you know if it is worth the hype. Let’s get into it:

Overview:

  • Cruelty free
  • Price: $24

Promise: our legendary Eyeshadow Primer Potion delivers everything you could possibly want in an eye primer: No creasing. More vibrant color. Smoother application. (Urban Decay’s website)

I really enjoy this eye primer. It is a pale beige color and it does help cover my veins while giving me a smooth base to apply my shadow. This is a reliable primer that I use for everyday and it really does prevent creasing. I really love that I can put this on, put on any eyeshadow I want, and then go out for 12+ hours, or to a concert, or out in the summer time and it never creases on me.

This product also keeps fading to a minimum, my eyeshadow looks just as vibrant as it does in the morning, even after six to eight hours. If I don’t use this, my shadow will fade,  crease and be everywhere because of my hooded eyes, so I definitely recommend this as an everyday and special occasion primer.

I notice that this helps my eyeshadow blend better and a little faster in the morning since it doesn’t leave your lids sticky or tacky at all. Overall I really recommend it to you guys, but if you don’t want to pay the steep price, I love the NYX pigment primer and it does exactly the same thing, it is great!

Swatch:

Pros:

  • Prevents shadow from creasing
  • Nice base, doesn’t leave your lids tacky
  • Keeps eyeshadow from fading
  • cruelty free!
  • Covers veins

Cons:

  • Price!
  • doesn’t cover any redness on your lids, so you will need a little bit of concealer

That is my review on this eyeshadow primer! Overall I really do like it and I do think that it is worth the hype. Let me know if you’ve tried this primer already and what you think of it in the comments below!
