Hello you guys and welcome back to our blog! A couple weeks ago I picked up these gorgeous liquid lipsticks from wet n wild, and I do have some final thoughts on the formula that I’d like to share with you!
If you want to see the haul post click here, otherwise lets jump right in!
- Cruelty free!
- price: $4.99 (so cheap!)
Made with glammed out superpowers, it goes on glossy yet transforms into a high-pigmented matte finish with some serious staying power. (ulta’s website!)
I got two shades from this range, rebel rose (a gorgeous pinky mauve) and Give me Mocha (a stunning dark grungy brown). Since I did pick up two shades I decided to compare them to each other.
So, the two do have some differences, which means that the line isn’t fully consistent. Rebel Rose has a more lightweight smooth formula with intense pigmentation and is matte almost right away, an absolutely fricking winnner! Give me mocha is a bit patchy, thinner and dries slower. With two coats it is opaque, and these do layer beautifully so after I did that with give me mocha I had no problems.
Anyways, regardless of the small things, these do have a lovely formula. They go on smooth and are pretty easy to apply. They do have a good amount of color payoff, dry completely matte and transfer proof and do last a while on the lips. After five to six hours and two meals some of my lip color was still hanging on. I do find that these fade funny, wearing away at the corners of your mouth first and then the inner center, but you can reapply and the formula is not drying at all.
- Cruelty free! Price point!
- not drying
- lightweight formula
- go on smooth
- good pigmentation
- last hours
- layer on top of each other well
- fully matte and transferproof
- darker shades are patchier (at least the one I tried)
- fade funny!
- can emphasize your lip lines
I hope you guys like my review! Although I did have some issues with the formula, I still do like these. For five dollars I don’t think you can go wrong. These have a spot in my collection and I will be wearing them.
