The Makeup I Got for Christmas!

Hello guys! Merry Christmas to everyone who celebrates it, and happy holidays if you choose to celebrate something else! I hope you all have lovely days and that you’ve gotten to spend tons of time with family.

My family and friends know me so well, and so I always get gifted makeup, which I’m so grateful for. I’m going to show you guys all of that makeup so that you can request reviews on certain products and see what my blog content will revolve around for the next couple months! (Not to brag, I promise)

Let’s get into it!

Face Makeup:

Stila Heavens Hue Highlighter in the shade Kitten – This is the putty highlighter that everyone was obsessed with for a little while!I swatched it and it is so soft and creamy. I’m very excited to play around with it more!

Tarte Park Avenue Princess Bronzer – This looks so perfect for my fair skin, it isn’t too warm, just a pretty bronzing shade for me and I am beyond excited to try it out!

Wet and Wild Liquid Catsuit Lipstick Review

Hello you guys and welcome back to our blog! A couple weeks ago I picked up these gorgeous liquid lipsticks from wet n wild, and I do have some final thoughts on the formula that I’d like to share with you!

If you want to see the haul post click here, otherwise lets jump right in!

Overview:

  • Cruelty free!
  • price: $4.99 (so cheap!)

Promise:

Made with glammed out superpowers, it goes on glossy yet transforms into a high-pigmented matte finish with some serious staying power. (ulta’s website!)

I got two shades from this range, rebel rose (a gorgeous pinky mauve) and Give me Mocha (a stunning dark grungy brown). Since I did pick up two shades I decided to compare them to each other.

So, the two do have some differences, which means that the line isn’t fully consistent. Rebel Rose has a more lightweight smooth formula with intense pigmentation and is matte almost right away, an absolutely fricking winnner! Give me mocha is a bit patchy, thinner and dries slower. With two coats it is opaque, and these do layer beautifully so after I did that with give me mocha I had no problems.

Current Winter Skincare Routine!

Hello you guys! Welcome back to our blog! Today I wanted to share with you my skincare routine, I haven’t done one of these in ages, so it is definitely time for an update, and all of this is cruelty free this time!

This is the skincare routine that has prevented me from getting flaky dry patches this year. It is only five steps, so much simpler than my old routine.

  1. vapour cleansing oil

This is what I use to take off my makeup at night, it works so well. It leaves an oily but hydrating film on your skin, that film will come off if you double cleanse, or if you towel your face dry so you can use it on its own as well.

2. terremere Tea and Aloe Hydrating Cleanser

This is my second cleanse! It does a good job of taking off any leftover makeup, and leaves my skin very soft and hydrated. I love that this is not stripping, it is a lovely cream cleanser. Continue reading “Current Winter Skincare Routine!”

Favorite Red Lipsticks for the Holidays!

Hello guys! Welcome back to our blog! I’m just starting to get in the mood for the holidays and I wanted to share my favorite red lipsticks with you guys! I hope you aren’t too bored of lipstick posts, I just realized the last five posts have been about lipsticks, let me know if you guys get bored!

Physicans Formula Velvet Lipstick in the shade Fight Free Redicals –

This is a gorgeous super bright red! I absolutely love this shade, it is so bright and fun and perfect for holiday parties. This is not drying on your lips at all but still will be matte. If that is what you like, then I definitely recommend this lipstick! Review: here if you want lip swatches or more information on the formula.

Too Faced Melted Matte liquified longwear lipstick in the shade Lady Balls

This is my favorite universal red. In fact, I’m pretty sure I mentioned this in my last post like this during the holiday season for 2016. It would look gorgeous on more medium deeper skin tones. This formula is a lot more longwearing and very very matte. It is not transferproof but it will last you through a party!

Physician’s Formula Velvet Lipsticks Review

Hello guys! The past couple weeks I have been using these physicians formula velvet lipsticks, if you want to see my final thoughts then keep on reading!

Overview:

  • cruelty free!
  • price: $7.00
  • Will go on glossy and dry matte, it is a liquid lipstick

*I couldn’t find the products claims because apparently these liquid lipsticks aren’t released everywhere yet!*

These are so pigmented! One swipe is all you’ll need, you will have no patchiness and the wand made it really easy to apply evenly.

The formula is also ridiculously lightweight and doesn’t dry your lips out at all. I found an ingredients list and these are infused with avocado oil and vitamin E. They definitely are nourishing and are very comfy to wear all day. You might even forget you are wearing this lipstick!

This also seems to blur out my lip lines. Most liquid lipsticks I’ve tried will emphasize lip lines to some degree, but these seemed to blur my lip lines away and my lips looked so smooth! These also didn’t crack even after a few hours of wear.

In terms of wear time, this is my only issue. Continue reading “Physician’s Formula Velvet Lipsticks Review”

BellaPierre Glowing Palette Review and Swatches

Hello everyone! Welcome back to our blog, if you are new here, welcome! And if you are a returner thank you so much for your support. Today I’m going to be talking about one of my favorite things in makeup, highlighters! I am nowhere near affording an Anastasia glow kit, although I would love to buy one, they are soooo gorgeous. So I got this palette which is supposedly considered a dupe, and is regularly high end but I found it at Marshalls for an incredible price.

Background on the company: I’m sure most of you have not heard of this brand, I did not know about it until I picked this up! Apparently, they are cruelty free, and use natural ingredients as much as they can. Bellapierre cosmetics was born in 2005, so they are fairly recent to the scene and have yet to surpass old favorites like Mac and Anastasia. They are a high end brand, every palette on their website costs $50.00 and an eyeliner is about $15.  Continue reading “BellaPierre Glowing Palette Review and Swatches”

Butter London Glazen Eye Gloss Review and Swatches

So many of you guys expressed interest in this in my november favorites! I love this product and for some of you who were on the fence about buying it hopefully this review and information will help you to make a decision.

The promise: this eyeshadow delivers wet look shine as a powder. It has a pudding like texture but dries instantly to a powder on your lid. Lasts all day, is crease resistant, build able and long wearing.

Price point: at $24 it is definitely considered a high end product. Continue reading “Butter London Glazen Eye Gloss Review and Swatches”
