e.l.f Moisturizing Lipstick Review

Hello guys! I am super excited to share this post with you all because (spoiler) I absolutely love this lipstick and the formula.

So this was a super cheap marshalls find, and I got the shade razzle dazzle red, which is a deep wine-red and I think it is absolutely beautiful.

Promise: The velvety, satin texture glides on lips with vibrant color and luminous shine. Enriched with Shea and Vitamins A, C, & E to nourish and hydrate the lips. The rich, creamy formula seals in moisture for long-lasting wear and comfort.

Overview:

  • Cruelty free
  • Price: $3.00 (bargain)
  • satin finish, not a liquid or matte lipstick
  • Fourteen different shades

When I first put this on it was so smooth and buttery it was amazing. It was very hydrating, I wore it for five hours and it never was uncomfortable. This was so pigmented, I used one coat to make it fully opaque. The shine was really pretty, it was definitely a satin finish, but it was still gorgeous and not drying at all. Overall I think this accomplished everything it said it would. It is not transfer proof and will not last through a meal but the lasting power isn’t bad at all.

Pros:

  • Price!
  • beautiful finish
  • Felt amazingly hydrating and was not drying at all
  • this was so creamy and easy to apply
  • No bleeding whatsoever
  • so comfortable on the lips
  • not streaky
  • so pigmented!

Cons:

  • vanilla scent (I love this but some of you might not like it)

I absolutely love this formula as you guys can tell! If you have tried this lipstick let me know what you think in the comments down below, I would love to hear from you! Also I was thinking about doing like a makeup vanity tour that includes where I keep all my skincare, haircare, jewelry etc. If you guys want to see that let me know!

  1. I love it when you can find a cheap lipstick that is good quality! Because I don’t wear them a lot, I won’t spend much money on one tube. I’ll have to write this one down to look for!!

  2. So often drugstore lipsticks smell terrible and chemically (Looking at you Covergirl). So terrible that they make me feel sick and I am concerned about wearing them (considering you basically eat lipstick during the day). I’m glad that this one doesn’t smell bad, maybe I should give it a try!
