Maybelline Great Lash Mascara

Hello my lovlies! im here with another beauty blog….duh!

Today i will be reviewing Maybelline’s Great Lash Mascara. I dont know why i feel like mascara is like a necessity in my daily life because i have extremly long eyelashes. No joke im pretty sure im related to a camel. Im also an extremely emotional person, so having water proof mascara is a MUST in my book. One of my biggest peeves about mascara is when you think its waterproof and its NOT! And then being the emotional person you are, cry and have it ruin the makeup that you spent hours on, a face full of like $80 bucks washed away by your tears, which makes you cry even more. Another peeve of mine is clumby mascara. So while looking for a mascara those are the two things i look for, waterproof-ness and no clumbing.

The previous mascara i was using was an LA Color mascara that i think was like a dollar or two ( you get what you pay for). I did not like that mascara what so ever. It wasnt waterproof..it wasnt even air proof, the slightest bit of movment would smudge the mascara, and by the end of the day i looked like a crazy alcoholic on crack cocaine. Another thing i didnt like about my old mascara was it was ALL clumb. On top of looking like an alcoholic, i also looked like a spider began living on my eyes. Needless to say, i was in dire need of a new mascara.

My mother uses Maybelline Great Lash Mascara all the time, and i always admire how it looks on her, so i decided why not give it a try?

So that i did!

Great Lash Mascara:

Description:

  • Pink tube
  • Green cap
  • Spiral brush
  • Normal sized

Pros:

  • Thin product
  • Waterproof
  • No clumbs
  • Long Lasting
  • natural look

Cons:

  • So thin that you need to apply multiple layers
  • Smudges slightly

All in all i give this product a 9/10 because i truly didnt find any problems with this product. My biggest problem was that it didnt apply very much product, so when wanting a more dramatic look youll have to apply two or three layers. But if you want a natural everyday look ( which i tend to lean toward) this product is perfect. I understand why my mom repurchases this product so much.

Thats it for todays blog!

Comment down below what youre biggest mascara peeves are!

L.A Colors Brand Review

Hello lovelies! Back again with a blog. Like me recent Elf blog, I feel LA colors is a hit or miss. Some products are great for your buck, while others are instant throw aways.

I’ll start off with the…

L.A Colors eyebrow gel:

Now I usually use a pencil to do my brows, but I wanted to try something new and use a gel. I was interested to find out that this product didn’t really have a gel feel to it, it was more like an eyebrow pencil but it a small little jar opposed to a stick. For coverage I give this a 10/10 because it really does fill in your brows and it really does stay which I like a lot.

L.A Colors Auto Eyeliner:

I got this retractable eyeliner because I thought it would be nice to line my under lid with on days where I go for a darker makeup look, or nights out. Continue reading “L.A Colors Brand Review”

February Ipsy bag!

Hello my lovelies!! The month of love has come and gone, although I think every month should be a month of love.

Now you may be wondering, what happened to January’s bag?

Welllll let’s just say I completely forgot! My plan was to do a combine post, but then I completely forgot what I got in my January bag.

Now on to the review!

Meteor shower by BLAQ

This little bath scrub I thought I would really like. I’m all for sugar scrubs and other bath type scrubs. When I tried it in the shower it does turn your skin an ash grey. Which it says on the packaging, but it makes it sound so easy to scrub off, but I found it to be very much the opposite. I felt like I was scrubbing off my skin just to get it off. Also the mess is inevitable, it’s impossible not to get it everywhere. My whole bathtub with black and it took hours of scrubbing to get off. Definitely did not like!

Marsk Sydney London silver Eyeshadow

This eyeshadow I didn’t really like either, it was a nice change from the usual gold that I get in all my Ipsy bags, but never in my life would I wear silver eyeshadow, I will probably regift this to someone more likely to wear it!

Sand and Sky brilliant skin detoxify and brighten mask

Now as many of you know, I love face masks! And I was so excited to try this one out, it’s a clay mask so it’s pretty thick. I left it on for about an hour and the results were amazing, my skin already looked slightly brighter already!

Lychee + Gold healthy glow rose gold blush

This I will admit I was a little scared of, I’m more of a highlighter girl, blushes I tend to just not like, but after trying this out I love it! It’s almost like a blush and a highlighter combined, not to mention it smells like strawberries! (Don’t mind my arm in the picture, it was freezing!)

Luxie duo brush

I always love getting brushes in my bags, it’s not as if I have like a million already! This is an addiction I will admit to having, the brush it very soft and application is subtile and smooth, plus it’s pink!!

That’s it for today!

Are you more of a highlighter or blush girl?

Finish 18 in 2018 Project Pan

Hello guys! Welcome back to our blog! So, last year I did seasonal project pans but this year I am going to switch it up by trying to finish eighteen products in a year. Lets jump into it:

Face products:

Benefit Dallas Blush – this is not cruelty free but I absolutely love it. I just found a dupe so I want to use this up!

Laura Geller Balance N Bronze Fair – This is a lovely natural bronzer but it is going to go bad so I want to use it up!

Laura Geller Creme Blush – I’ve had this for ages and it looks so natural and gorgeous! I don’t want it to go bad.

It cosmetics cream highlighter – This is going to go bad if I don’t use it so I want to finish it!

Vapour Beauty Highlighter – This is a small sample and I don’t love it as much as my it-cosmetics one so I want to finish it.

NYX Lip Lingerie Lipstick Review

Hello everyone! Welcome back to our blog! I got this product a little while ago and I know there are millions of reviews on these lipsticks already but I wanted to share my take on it!

Promise: weightless liquid lipstick with a plush matte finish! (from NYX website)

img_4020

Overview:

  • Cruelty free!
  • Will be a long wearing liquid lipstick
  • Price: $6.99 (bargain!)
  • dries matte

This lipstick has quickly become one of my favorites and for me definitely lives up to the hype that it gets! The formula is really lightweight and whipped which I enjoy because I like the feeling of nothing on my lips. It dries down fairly quick, definitely in less than a minute. The end result is transferproof, it doesn’t come off if you touch it and for me this works even better than the Too Faced Melted Mattes in that department. the applicator is really nice as well. In a lot of ways this reminds me of the tartiest matte lip paints, those being just a little more lightweight. These are so amazing for the price! The lasting power is about 4 hours with an even fade. This does not emphasize lip lines on my lips personally which I really enjoy.

I got the shade Bedtime Flirt which might be the best nude ever for fair skin!

Here is the applicator:

Swatch:

Pros and Cons:

Pros:

  • transferproof
  • looks matte but not one-dimensional
  • gorgeous shade selection
  • light and more whipped formula
  • nice applicator which made it easy to apply
  • no emphasizing of my lip lines
  • nice amount of product
  • not drying on the lips

Cons:

  • Lasting power was not as long as I’d expected
  • A second coat will cause stickiness so try not to touch up unless you need to

That is all I have for you guys today! I hope you enjoyed my review and I know many of you must have tried this out for yourselves so let me know how your experience went down in the comments!

Mini Haul of Makeup and Skincare

Hello guys! Lately I’ve been picking up a couple of things skincare wise, I’m saving up for some high end skincare and needed some minis to tide me over. I also could not resist trying out some of the NYX lippies that are cult favorites so here is what I bought.

Makeup:

NYX butter gloss in the shade creme Brulee – This was to replace my laura geller lip gloss that I finished! I am so excited to try these glosses because I haven’t heard a bad review.

NYX soft matte lip cream in the shade Milan – I also wanted to try this formula because these are cult favorites. Milan looked like it would be lighter but it is super bright so I might exchange this one!

Top 3 Cream/Liquid Highlighters

Hi guys! I love doing these Top 3 sorts of posts and you guys seem to like them too so I wanted to do one on cream highlighting. For me, because my skin is more dry I find that cream/liquid highlights don’t emphasize texture and go on more naturally than powder so I love them and I wanted to share my favorites!

1. It Cosmetics Hello Light Creme Luminizer Stick

This gives such a subtle and lovely glow from within that I absolutely adore. Whenever I want a subtler highlight I always use this because it is so blendable and catches the light slightly. It will not move around your foundation and is not glittery at all so if you do have more mature skin I think you might really like this. If you are oily though I would pass on this, it might make you look greasy!

Beauty Empties: Sept-Oct

Hello guys! I have a lot of beauty empties from these past few months, so lets get right into it. Grab a snack because this will be long!

Makeup:

Elizabeth Arden Skin Lotion – I love this so much, but it is discontinued and not cruelty free so I can’t repurchase.

Pacifica lip balm – I liked this except I went through it pretty quick. I probably would buy it again.

Laura geller lip pops lipgloss – I wish I could repurchase this! This is my favorite gloss formula ever but it was limited edition and is now discontinued.

Bobbi Brown Smokey eye mascara – Finally finished this! I’m glad to get another makeup product out of my collection that isn’t cruelty free.
