Top 5 Drugstore Makeup Products

Hello guys! Welcome back to our blog, today I’m sharing my favorite affordable makeup products with you!

1. NYX butter lip glosses in Tiramisu and Angel Food Cake

These are so good! They are lovely and moisturizing. They aren’t super lightweight, but they aren’t really thick or heavy either. The color payoff is nice, and to top it off they are super affordable and have an amazing color selection.

2. Physicians Formula Butter Highlighter in Pearl

The formula on these is technically a powder, but if you touch these they are almost like a cream. They apply best with just your fingers or a dense brush, a fan brush or loosely packed one won’t pick up much product. The sheen is super shimmery and a bit glittery!

3. ELF tone correcting powder in cool

E.L.F Tone Correcting Powder Review

Hello guys! Today I have a beauty bargain to share with you. I’ve been using this powder for a while and I wanted to do a review on it!

Overview:

  • Price: $4
  • Cruelty free and 100% vegan!
  • Translucent pressed powder

Promise: Create a balanced and radiant complexion that is beautiful and healthy. The lightweight formula evens out skin tone and absorbs excess oil, and sheer formula brightens, mattes and neutralizes the skin.

I thought that this product really did live up to the promises. I love this for setting my foundation, I use a dewy finish foundation (I have drier skin) and once I layer this over it, it becomes a satiny – matte finish and I love how it looks. It is sheer and the colors don’t show up, the powder becomes translucent on your skin. It is very finely milled and feels very smooth and silky on your skin. It will absorb excess oil, Continue reading “E.L.F Tone Correcting Powder Review”

Used and Abused Makeup Products Tag

Hello guys! Welcome back to our blog! I’ve been watching these videos on youtube and I absolutely love them so I decided to do one! In flatlays on instagram or blog posts, I never show you guys what my loved and used makeup actually looks like. It doesn’t stay perfect and insta-worthy for long!

Here are four of my most used makeup products that will be empties soon:

1. Juice Beauty CC cream in natural glow

This one is almost gone, the cap is broken, it’s leaking, it is just a mess. I have repurchased this several times, it is truly a great cc cream, holy grail status! I also have a backup for whenever I run out because I love this so much! It looks so natural on the skin and lasts so long. It hydrates my skin and makes it look so healthy.

2. Bareminerals Translucent Veil Powder

This is supposed to be a pressed powder, I have no idea when it stopped being a pressed powder and just sort of became a loose powder. I’m just too lazy to repress it when it only has a tiny bit left. This has been dropped, repressed 4 times and carried in my bag almost everywhere, it has definitely served me well and I love this product because it blurs out my pores!

3. ELF eyebrow kit in Taupe

This is the first eyebrow product I ever got, the lid has broken off, it has massive pan and it has certainly been well loved. I really still love this for my brows and I can’t wait to finish it off and buy a new one!

4. It cosmetics hello Light Luminizer

This is something I’ve loved and used for a couple of years, it is so pretty on the skin! It is also almost gone, been carried with me everywhere and I absolutely love it. I definitely will be finishing this up and buying a new one soon!

I hope you guys enjoyed this kind of lighthearted and fun post, if you want to do it and you have a blog, then go for it. See you guys soon!

E.l.f highlighter and Concealer duo

img_0771.jpg

Hello lovelies! To make up for my absence I shall post every day!

Today’s review will be on E.l.f’s concealer and highlighter duo in the shade ivory.

I’m not a huge fan of E.l.f’s concealers, but this being a duo I wanted to give it a try.

Do it for the blog am I right?!

The first thing I noticed about the concealer part is that when you pull it out, very little product comes out. I went through the whole bottle of concealer in a week.

The highlighter I personally didn’t like simply because I don’t really like liquid highlighters. When applying it didn’t spread very well, making it obvious where I applied the line.

Overall I didn’t like this product very much.

Let me know what you think of this duo!

What is your favorite ELF product?

3 Favorite Dark Lipsticks for Winter!

Hello guys! It is almost officially winter and I have been loving dark berry lip colors and just darker shades in general! Today I’m going to share with you my favorite dark lipsticks for winter. These happen to all be from the drugstore and are ridiculously affordable.

I did do a post like this last year, if you would like to see how much my blogging skills have improved, click here

Anyways! Here are my recommendations!

Milani Color Statement Lipstick in the shade Chocolate Berries –

This is a beautiful, more wearable, brown toned purple! I love the formula and the color on this and it is such a lovely lipstick. This one is not a matte finish, instead its more of a satin. I like that because I think a little luminosity makes your lips look bigger which is important when you are wearing dark colors!

Elf Moisturizing Lipstick in the shade Razzle Dazzle Red –

This is my favorite dark red of all time. Against fair skin this looks beautiful and on medium and deep I think you would still really love this. It’s a very universal deep red! It is beautiful and lasts a long time even though it isn’t a matte formula. This won’t bleed outside your lip lines but it will transfer so you do have to be a little careful with it!

NYX Simply Vamp lipstick in the shade Bewitching –

E.L.F haul

Hello all!

I am so sorry for not posting as much this past month, school has been killer if you know what I mean.

Today I am going to be sharing with you all my E.L.F haul!
E.L.F baked eyeshadow

img_0027.jpg

This eyeshadow is so beautiful I absolutely love the colors, unfortunately most of the colors are hard to get off, I cannot apply this eyeshadow with a brush because it’s very hard to pick things up. When using my finger, I usually have to rub the shade a few times till I get the pigment I want.

E.l.f no smudge pot

This little container is the holy grail!

I have always had the problem of my eyeshadow/eyeliner smudging off by the end of the day so that I look like this:

I have to admit, when I bought this I wasn’t convinced, but I’m actually really surprised at the outcome! The times I have used this, my eye makeup as stayed on all day!

I love it!

E.L.F July

Hello my lovelies! I can’t believe July is over!!

During the month of July, I happened to get a lot of E.L.F products, for myself and as birthday gifts.
The first product i got was their Ivory creme concealor stick,

Now the previous liquid concealor stick i got from E.L.F i did not like, I didn’t like how within a week the bottle was pretty much gone. So this time I got a creme stick, personally I find they last much longer. I really love this stick, it covers very well and spreads cleanly.
Next I got the E.L.F lipstick. In the shade of pink

Way back to last summer I got this exact shade from Forever 21 and loved it. This year I got It as a gift. It is the same shade as my lips, so it makes the whole look look natural. Not to mention it keeps my lips hydrated! Continue reading “E.L.F July”

Mini Haul from the Drugstore

Hello everyone and welcome back to our blog! I recently picked up a couple things from the drugstore and I wanted to share them with you guys! All of these purchases are cruelty free for those of you buying consciously, and their all bargains as well. I’ll be doing a bargain of the month for you all soon depending on how well these work!

ELF Flawless Finish Foundation in the shade Porcelain

This foundation was super cheap, and I think the shade match will work for me although it may be a little dark. It is oil free and has SPF15. I hope that this works out as a lightweight full coverage foundation since I don’t have anything higher coverage than a CC cream at the moment.
