Beauty Empties: November – December

Hey guys, welcome back to our blog! Today I want to share with you my beauty empties for the month of November and December.

Makeup:

Butter London Plush Rush lip gloss in Free-fall – This was a gorgeous gloss! For me these seem quite similar to Buxom’s formula, and I enjoy those glosses just a little more, so I wouldn’t rebuy this.

LA colors lip gloss in clear – This is the best thick and hydrating clear gloss. I always put it over liquid lipsticks and I miss it a ton! Definitely going to repurchase.

It cosmetics Hello Light Cream Highlighter – I used this up this year. I repurchased it already, I love it. It is the perfect cream highlight for everyday!

Dr.Hauschka stick corrector in shade 01 – I did like this concealer but the shade was way too pink for me. I like the formula but I think I can find something better. Wouldn’t repurchase!

EOS lip balm – EOS is not cruelty free so I would not repurchase! But I also don’t feel like this hydrates my lips much at all, so I wouldn’t recommend these balms.

NYX Worth the Hype Mascara – I love this mascara! I cannot wait to go repurchase it, I like the consistency and the effect it gives to my lashes.

NYX Microbrow pencil in taupe- This eyebrow pencil was lovely. I just ran out of it this morning and I am going to repurchase it today because (not to be dramatic here) I can’t live without it.

Skincare:

Burts Bees Facial Cleansing towelettes – These were really good makeup wipes! I mostly used them for swatches and I would definitely repurchase.

SheaMoisture Youth Infusing Mud Mask – This mud mask kind of dried out my skin, I’m not sure how I felt about it and I wouldn’t repurchase. Continue reading “Beauty Empties: November – December”

Massive Makeup Haul!

Hello guys! Welcome back to our blog. Happy New Year, and happy holidays! Today I wanted to share a haul of makeup I’ve bought myself and some that I’ve gotten for Christmas. Let’s jump into it:

Makeup:

Becca First Light priming filter –

I have been using the deluxe sample of this for so long and I love it. I’m so happy to now have the full size to go through because this is my hydrating primer holy grail.

It cosmetics Hello Light Creme Luminizer –

I finished my old one and this is a repurchase! I love this cream highlight and it is so pretty on my skin. It is easy to work with and I am excited to go through this new one.

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Champagne Pop –

I’ve never tried any of Becca’s skin perfectors, so I’m so excited to try this. This is too deep on me as a highlighter but I think it would look gorgeous as an eyeshadow!

Bobbi Brown Deluxe eye and cheek palette –

This was an incredibly generous gift from a family friend. I love bobbi brown products (I wish they were cruelty free). But I am excited to use this because I’m sure it is good quality and I like that it is an all-in-one. Continue reading “Massive Makeup Haul!”

June Ipsy bag!

Hello lovlies! Summer is finally upon us, thank goodness! Here in Washington it’s always so cold and rainy, so we take up all the sun we can get!

I just want to say I LOVE this months ipsy bag!!!

Hey Honey come clean facial scrub:

This is such an amazing exfoliating scrub! I love it and it really gets all the yucky dead skin off, I used it before getting a tan and it was amazing!

Feel pure anywhere rose balm

This balm smells so gooooddddd!! I’m a sucker for anything Rose and Lavender (if you couldn’t tell from some of my more recent post) so I was so excited to get this, it moisturizes really well and it last all day!

MAC prep+prime primer

This primer is so smooth and silky, it has a hint of glitter in it, which for some people could be a issue with, but it’s ever so slight and gives you this glow. I don’t mind the glitter much, helps my makeup stay on all day!

Pacifica eyeshadow

I love love love love love this eyeshadow. My two favorite shades are the orange ones because I’ve been looking EVERYWHERE for a good pigmented orange and I finally found it! I use this every day!

Firma 102 brush

I love this brush, it’s very soft and applies very naturally. Not to mention it looks really good with the marble!

That’s it for this post!

Let me know down in the comments what you got in your ipsy! Or if you have any of these items!

Becca First Light Priming Filter Primer Review

Hello guys! Welcome back to our blog, today I want to review this primer that I bought a while ago but I’ve recently started using it!

Overview:

  • Price: $38 for the full size, $18 for the deluxe size (what I have)
  • Cruelty free!

Promise: Your new-pick-me up, a lavender hued priming filter powered by luminescence that preps, perks & perfects the complexion. (From the back of the tube)

I really think that this primer is nice! I have normal skin and this just gives very lightweight hydration, just enough to make my skin hydrated and dewy. I also love that this doesn’t have a lot of shimmer or glitter in it because a lot of dewy primers are full of that shimmer and it makes your skin look artificial.

This primer has a light nice texture just like a moisturizer and gives your skin enough of a perfecting Continue reading “Becca First Light Priming Filter Primer Review”

Haul: New Purchases from Marshalls/Ulta

Hello guys! Welcome back to our blog! A week ago Christine and I went to Marshalls, and I went to Ulta with my mom, so of course I picked up plenty of makeup, skincare, haircare and nail polish (so did Christine)! This is kind of a massive haul, let’s just get into it –

Makeup:

Tarte Gifted Mascara in black – I’ve always wanted to try this so I just decided to get it!

Itcosmetics no tug waterproof gel liner pencil in black – This is my favorite black pencil liner, and I repurchased it!

Ellentracy ultimate lengthening mascara – I may have also bought this for the packaging, but I am looking for a really good lengthening mascara and I hope this is the one.

Anastasia Beverly Hills liquid lipstick in Catnip – This was such a bargain! I love the deep pink shade!

Skincare:

Valjean Labs Glow Vitamin C and Magnesium Facial Serum – This packaging was so cute, which I honestly the reason that I bought this, but the ingredients sound great!

Acure Radically Rejuvenating Facial Scrub – I’m always looking for a new exfoliator, so I am super excited to try this one.

Bodycare:

Ultabeauty gradual tan lotion in bronze glow – This is a self tanner I decided to try, it is a gradual tan and develops slowly.

Schmidts natural deodorant  in the scent rose and vanilla – I found this while I was there and decided to try it out, the scent is really nice!

Haircare:

Renpure coconut cream curl defining cream – This looks so good, I can’t wait to use it in my hair!

Nail Polish:

Zoya Naked Manicure Perfector – This is a pretty nude-white polish that I picked up for prom! (Get ready with us is coming on monday!)

Zoya nail polish in Ryan – The dark blue shade of this was really calling my name for fall or for winter so I picked it up!

Chinaglaze nail polish in White on White – I’ve been loving white nails, the white nail polish I owned before this was so goopy and not good quality so I have replaced it with this!

That is it for my haul of new products. Let me know in the comments what you want to see reviews on, or tell me something you’ve just purchased!

Tarte Amazonian Clay Park Avenue Princess Bronzer Review

Hello guys! Welcome back to another review! I’ve been trying this bronzer out lately and I wanted to review it to let you guys know if it is worth the hype or not!

Lets get into it:

Overview:

  • Price: $30.00
  • Cruelty free and 100% vegan
  • 9g of product
  • is free of parabens and phthalates

Promise: This all-matte waterproof version adds instant warmth and dimension across a variety of skin tones. The Amazonian clay-infused formula helps to improve skin clarity, texture, and tone for an overall lit-from-within complexion.

This bronzer is very matte, no shimmer, which I love personally. This works really well on my fair skin, it is easy to work with, it blends out easily and the color isn’t too dark. This also won’t make you look like you have a stripe of dirt on your face or make you look orange even if it is pretty warm toned, so I really love that about it! It looks very natural and I Continue reading “Tarte Amazonian Clay Park Avenue Princess Bronzer Review”

May Beauty Favorites!

Hello guys! Welcome back our blog! All through May, I’ve been loving all sorts of old favorites so lets get into what I’ve been loving this month:

Makeup:

Eye Makeup –

Urban Decay Perversion Mascara

This mascara makes your lashes so black and the formula glides on so easily. None of the new mascaras I’m trying go on as easily and as black as this one. I only use a tiny amount of product on the brush because this can get gloppy so quickly, but if you are careful, it looks beautiful and you get thick fluttery lashes.

Face Makeup –

ELF Tone Correcting Powder in cool

I have been loving this powder to set my foundation, it will mattify but it won’t leave your skin looking dry or flat. I won’t bore you guys because I literally just did a review, but I have been using this every day this month!

ELF $2 Blush in the shade Shy

This is the blush I’ve been reaching for all month. The formula is lovely, it is cheap, the color makes my fair skin look awake and healthy and gives a perfect flush to the cheeks. These are so easy to apply and blend and I just can’t stop wearing this blush!

5 Massively Underhyped Makeup Products

Hello guys! Welcome back to our blog! Today I want to share with you some products that I absolutely love but I never hear anyone talking about for some reason.

1. Profusion studio contour palette

This was at Marshalls and I bought it for $3.99. The powders are so gorgeous, they blend out easily and are the perfect amount of pigmented. The contour shade for fair skin won’t make your face look muddy either! I honestly am so impressed with this little contour kit and I use it all the time when I’m going to an event.

2. ELF $1 blush in the shade Shy

These blushes are so cheap, but they are so nice. The powder is finely milled, they blend easily, and have the right amount of color pay off. These aren’t fully matte and they leave a flushed glowy look on your cheeks.

3. ItCosmetics Hello Light Cream Illuminator

Current Skincare Routine for Spring/Summer

Hello guys! Today I want to share with you my current skincare routine, it is a lot lighter than the super moisturizing routine I use in winter and it leaves me glowing this time of year!

*I have dry/normal skin*

1. Vapour Beauty Clarity Cleansing Oil

This is a really light cleansing oil and it gets my makeup all off. I love it because it leaves my skin feeling nourished since it leaves a light oily layer behind. It isn’t heavy though, it just feels nourishing, if you have oily skin you might not like this!

2. Terremere Tea and Aloe Hydrating Cleanser

This is so gentle and makes my face feel clean but never stripped of moisture! Also these go on sale on Hautelook for super cheap compared to the price on the Terremere website, so never pay full price for this.

Exfoliate 3x a week – Juice Beauty Exfoliating Cleanser

This is so gentle that you probably could use it everyday. It leaves your skin feeling baby soft and glowy. I like the fact that it is a physical scrub and that it never leaves your skin irritated.

3. Toner – The Body Shop Hydrating Vitamin E Toner

This is my new favorite toner, it is so gentle and works amazingly. I love the way that my skin feels when I use it, super clean and balanced without the tight feeling. It also is not super expensive so I would recommend you pick it up if you have drier skin and want a hydrating toner.

4. Serum – Juice Beauty Antioxidant Serum

This is one of my new favorites. It doesn’t feel heavy on the skin and it has a lot of good ingredients in it. It will feel sticky once you apply it but as soon as you put moisturizer on, it won’t feel sticky anymore and when you wake up your skin will look so renewed and bright.

5. Moisturizer – Acure the Wonderfluff Overnight Mask

So I’ve been using this as a night cream instead of an overnight mask, it is working out well so I’m just going to keep doing that. I just apply it like a moisturizer, and of course it takes a little while to rub in because it is supposed to be a mask. It is very light weight and a good amount of moisturizing, very nice for spring or summer where you don’t want a heavy moisturizer!

Mask 1x a week –  Sonage berry stem cell mask, Acure Pore Clarifying Red Clay Mask

This time of year I like to focus on brightening rather than super hydrating masks, so these are two I’ve been enjoying.I really love both of these and would recommend them!

Sonage Mask Review – here

Acure Pore Clarifying mask – This is wash off mask and as you wash it off it turns into a scrub kind of product, and it really brightens up the complexion!

That is it for my current skincare routine! Let me know what products aree in your skincare routine currently in the comments down below!

New Skincare Haul!

Hello guys! Today I’m going to show you all of the new skincare I’ve gotten over the last couple weeks. My eighteenth birthday was in April and so my mom gifted me some of these products and some of them I bought myself.

Lets get into it:

Face Masks:

Acure The Magical Wonderfluff Overnight Hydrating Mask – This looks so nourishing and lovely and I cannot wait to try it, I always could use an overnight mask.

Ecotools Mini Mask Kit – This is perfect for travel, I’m definitely bringing it with me when I go on vacation this summer. It has a little carrying case, a pot to mix powder masks with water, a brush and sponge and it is so convenient.

Serums:

Juice Beauty Antioxidant serum – This I’ve used once, and it is so brightening. I woke up glowing the next day! Definitely will review this for you guys and let you know if it is something that works in the long term.
