To be honest, I have quite mixed feelings on this mascara, so I’m just going to lay out my thoughts, and you can decide whether this mascara will work for you!

This mascara has kind of a jelly/clay formula, it is thick and goopy. It doesn’t weigh down your lashes, it actually curls mine nicely. This doesn’t give me much length but it will give you lots of volume. This just got so clumpy on me. The product is thick and it takes a long time to comb through your lashes if you would like to have more than three eyelashes on each eye and separate them. I just don’t have time for that in order to get the look I want when I have so many other mascaras that work better.

March Beauty Favorites!

Hello guys! Welcome back to our blog! I can’t believe that March has gone so fast, but I’m so glad it is getting warmer and is almost summer! Let’s get into products that I have been loving all month:

Makeup:

Kat Von D Studded Kiss Lipstick in Lovecraft – This is the old formula, and I do want to try the new one, but for the time being I have been loving this! Its the perfect deep pinky nude for fairer skin tones. I’ve been wearing this so often since it is finally spring and the weather is warming up!

Urban Decay Comfort Matte in Backtalk – This is a beautiful mauvey shade, I swear it goes with everything! I know I wasn’t crazy about the comfort matte formula in my initial review, and I found that this dried out my lips, but if you put a lip balm on before it is less of an issue.

W3ll People Expressionist Mascara – I’ve been doing a lot of 5 minute makeup looks because it has been a busy month. This is my favorite natural, defining, and reliable mascara. If I need to get ready fast without much fuss I will always reach for this!

Itcosmetics Hello Light Creme Luminizer – I know I’ve been talking about this tons lately but I just can’t stop using it! I’ve used this every single day this month, because it is so shimmery, gorgeous and looks very natural on my very fair skin. This is my everyday go to glow right now!

Skincare:

The Body Shop Vitamin E Toner – This has been so great for my skin lately. It really does hydrate your skin and keep it feeling fresh. I overall have been really loving it so if you have dry skin and are looking for a toner, I recommend you try out this one, plus it isn’t expensive!

b.liv O2 Bubbly Bright Oxygenating Mask – I actually have been reaching for this every time I need to use a mask. It’s been a pretty stressful month, so my skin has felt dirty and in need of some purifying. This really does the job to get my glow back! (This was sent to both of us for free in exchange for review)

Haircare:

2chic Ultra Moist Leave in Conditioner and Styling Elixir – If you have wavy or curly hair you need to try this, it is also from the drugstore! I absolutely love the texture, it is really light and will not weigh down your hair, but it really will define your waves or curls and keep them moisturized!

That is it for my beauty favorites! Let me know something you have been loving in the comments down below!

ItCosmetics Liner Love Waterproof Anti-Aging Creme Gel Eyeliner

Hello guys! The last couple of months I have been testing out this eyeliner in the creme eyeliner pot version, I have had the gel pencil before and loved it and emptied it, lets get into the review:

img_5508
Overview:

  • $24
  • Cruelty free!
  • 6 shades, 3.5g of product

Promise: Liner Love™ Waterproof Anti-Aging Crème Gel Eyeliner is an innovative formula designed to lay down eye-enhancing, saturated, rich color!! Developed with leading plastic surgeons, it’s infused with lash-loving ingredients, such as peptides, collagen, and vitamin serums. These highly pigmented colors are clinically shown waterproof, even after 12 hours of wear.

So that is a ton of promises! I personally have fallen in love with this product! It is so pigmented and so black, lays down color so smoothly and will last all day. This lasts in the waterline longer than any other eyeliner I have tried, it lasts about five to six hours easily without fading the tiniest bit. It is super easy to apply.

I have used up the pencil version of this liner and personally I find the two formulas very similar, it just comes down to what you like working with.

Mini Ulta Haul!

Hello guys! Today I wanted to share with you my mini ulta haul, I have been trying to curb my makeup spending just a bit so I tried to only buy a few things that I really needed!

 Makeup:

Bareminerals Gen Nude Matte Lipcolor in Boss – I have been seeing these lip product hyped up on youtube and I’ve seen nothing but good reviews so I decided to get one to try out! This shade is a lovely nude pink that I will get a lot of wear out of!

Butter london lip crayon in Ruby Murray – This is a really bright pinky red shade that I am so excited to try out! I have one of these in a nude shade already, the formula leaves a glossy finish, so I think this will be a really pretty lipstick for summer!

Pacifica Dream big Mascara – This has a wand that you can change the length of by twisting the cap, so I had to get this to try it out and review it! I know I’ve sometimes wished I could modify the brush on a good mascara, so I can’t wait to try this.

Skincare:

The Body Shop Vitamin E Hydrating Toner – I needed a toner but I was looking for one that would dry out my skin or irritate it, and this one seems perfect. I’ve used it a couple times and so far I love it.

Empties: November and December

Hello you guys! I wanted to share my empties from the last couple months of 2017 with you today!

Let’s get into it!

Makeup:

Bobbi Brown Smokey Eye Mascara – I love this! Won’t repurchase because it isn’t cruelty free.

Bobbi Brown No Smudge Mascara – I liked this, it was meh. Won’t repurchase.

Smashbox Brow Architect in the shade Taupe – I love this! The brow gel is my favorite, doesn’t leave your brows crunchy but they stay on all day, repurchased already!

Jane Iredale Lip Drink Lip Balm – This left a weird white cast on my lips, even though it was just a balm, I would not buy it again.

Burts Bees Pomegranate Lip Balm – I liked this scent, and I love their lip balms, I’ve already repurchased.

Face Products:

Physicians Formula Butter Highlighter in the shade Pearl – This has been my go to highlighter, It is a so so soft and buttery and glides on without moving your foundation, it is blinding, basically all glitter and shimmer. It has a slight purply pink shift to it and would look lovely on any of you cool toned fair girls!

Dirty Works Bye Bye Dark Circles Corrector and Concealer – This has been what I reached for almost all through December, It is so lightweight and didn’t dry out my undereyes, even with the dry and chilly weather. Review here!

Rimmel matte foundation

Hello my lovelies!! I want to apologize for my absence lately, with it being my last year of grade school I have been over my head with Work! I feel so bad for leaving you guys for like this whole month, and poor Hailey having to take the reigns alone!

Goodness!

But I am back and ready to RUMBLE!

Today I will be reviewing Rimmel’s stay matte foundation in the shade ivory.

I found this at the drug store (as I always do) in need of a change, my last foundation I loved, but I wanted to see what else was out there. And I had heard from a friend that this foundation was a gem.

I bought this foundation toward the beginning of November (sorry that’s how busy I’ve been!!) and was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked it. This foundation gives a finished look.

I have a love hate relationship with the thickness of this foundation, one weeks where I have ugly break outs (due to period ) the thickness really helps cover up those nasty little things, while other times when my face is normal and no real outs are present, this foundation can see a little too heavy.

Other than that, I really do like this product!

Let me know down in the comments what you think of this foundation, and if you don’t have it, what is your favorite go to foundation?

Top 3 Cream/Liquid Highlighters

Hi guys! I love doing these Top 3 sorts of posts and you guys seem to like them too so I wanted to do one on cream highlighting. For me, because my skin is more dry I find that cream/liquid highlights don’t emphasize texture and go on more naturally than powder so I love them and I wanted to share my favorites!

1. It Cosmetics Hello Light Creme Luminizer Stick

This gives such a subtle and lovely glow from within that I absolutely adore. Whenever I want a subtler highlight I always use this because it is so blendable and catches the light slightly. It will not move around your foundation and is not glittery at all so if you do have more mature skin I think you might really like this. If you are oily though I would pass on this, it might make you look greasy!
