18 in 2018 Project Pan Update #1

Hello guys! Today I am sharing an update with you for my 18 in 2018 project pan, I’ve made some good progress and managed to finish a product so lets get into it:

Face Products:

Benefit Dallas Blush – This has a dip in it! you can see the metal around the edges and that the product is getting lower in the pan, steady progress which i’m happy about.

Laura Geller Balance and Bronze Foundation and Bronzer – This I haven’t used because I was focusing on the benefit. I will rotate it in next month.

Laura Geller Cream Blush – This has a bit of a dip in it, some progress but not as much as I’d like.

It Cosmetics Hello Light Creme Luminizer – I love this product, and I made tons of progress on it. It went down 0.6cm from the intro.

Vapour Beauty halo illuminator in Moonlight – This is a bit intense for me, so I had not a lot of progress on it, it only went down 0.2cm from the intro!

Urban Decay Cream Finish Vice Lipstick Review

Hello guys! Welcome back to our blog, today I’m going to review another lipstick that I got for christmas, the Urban Decay Vice Lipstick in Naked which is part of their cream formula.

Overview:

  • Price: $17
  • Cruelty free!
  • 100 shades of these Vice Lipsticks are available!

Promise: This creamy formula is packed with nourishing ingredients. A butter blend comforts, hydrates, and enhances, leaving lips soft and conditioned, and never dry. Aloe vera, jojoba, avocado, and babassu oils nourish and soften lips. (From Sephora’s site!)

I do have to say I love this formula! If you are after a moisturizing, basic, everyday sort of cream lipstick like I am, then I think you would like this as well. It is nourishing, not drying at all, so it definitely lives up to that part of its promise. Continue reading “Urban Decay Cream Finish Vice Lipstick Review”

Urban Decay Comfort Matte Vice Lipstick Review

Hello guys! Welcome back to our blog, I am very excited to review this lipstick for you guys today, even though I know everyone has already shared their opinion, I want to share mine. Today I will review the comfort matte formula from the urban decay vice lipstick line! (I do have another one of these in a cream formula and that review will be up soon!

Overview:

  • Price: ($17)
  • Cruelty free!
  • 100 shades available

Promise:

  • Comfort Matte (CM): the creamiest matte (Ulta beauty website)

Immediately after I applied this comfort matte formula, it was gorgeous, not drying and very creamy (did live up to the promise), but in two hours it was incredibly drying. At first it made my lips look very smooth, no lines, and it was flattering. The color and pigment was still on my lips after a good 3 to 4 hours. These lipsticks were so pigmented and smooth to apply, very true to color, had a long wear time and a very pretty matte finish, however, the formula was so drying! I have liquid lipsticks that are less drying than this, and it is supposed to be comfortable.

Makeup Declutter for the new Year!

Hello guys! I got a lot of new makeup to play with for Christmas, which I’m so grateful for, but I really needed to get some of the older products out of my collection to make room for the new. You guys seem to love these posts, I’m so glad you do because I love making them.

Here is what I’m getting rid of!

Lip products:

Laura Geller Lipstick in Vista – This just is an average nude and it wasn’t exciting me so I let it go.

NYX simply Vamp Lip Crayons – This winter I wore more brown or red based dark lipsticks, not purple, so unfortunately these have to go.

Laura Geller Lip Pops Lip Gloss – Dark colored lip gloss is just stressful because it will get everywhere, so I’m letting this go.

NYX butter gloss in creme brulee – I assure you, I love this formula!! This shade was a bit too light pink for my taste. I picked up two better shades for me recently and I enjoy those more!

Other Makeup:

Tarte Play with Clay Quad, Naked 2 basics palette – Lowkey nervous about parting with these palettes, but I have so many duplicate shades, and I don’t need these.

Wet and Wild Liquid Catsuit Lipstick Review

Hello you guys and welcome back to our blog! A couple weeks ago I picked up these gorgeous liquid lipsticks from wet n wild, and I do have some final thoughts on the formula that I’d like to share with you!

If you want to see the haul post click here, otherwise lets jump right in!

Overview:

  • Cruelty free!
  • price: $4.99 (so cheap!)

Promise:

Made with glammed out superpowers, it goes on glossy yet transforms into a high-pigmented matte finish with some serious staying power. (ulta’s website!)

I got two shades from this range, rebel rose (a gorgeous pinky mauve) and Give me Mocha (a stunning dark grungy brown). Since I did pick up two shades I decided to compare them to each other.

So, the two do have some differences, which means that the line isn’t fully consistent. Rebel Rose has a more lightweight smooth formula with intense pigmentation and is matte almost right away, an absolutely fricking winnner! Give me mocha is a bit patchy, thinner and dries slower. With two coats it is opaque, and these do layer beautifully so after I did that with give me mocha I had no problems.

Physician’s Formula Velvet Lipsticks Review

Hello guys! The past couple weeks I have been using these physicians formula velvet lipsticks, if you want to see my final thoughts then keep on reading!

Overview:

  • cruelty free!
  • price: $7.00
  • Will go on glossy and dry matte, it is a liquid lipstick

*I couldn’t find the products claims because apparently these liquid lipsticks aren’t released everywhere yet!*

These are so pigmented! One swipe is all you’ll need, you will have no patchiness and the wand made it really easy to apply evenly.

The formula is also ridiculously lightweight and doesn’t dry your lips out at all. I found an ingredients list and these are infused with avocado oil and vitamin E. They definitely are nourishing and are very comfy to wear all day. You might even forget you are wearing this lipstick!

This also seems to blur out my lip lines. Most liquid lipsticks I’ve tried will emphasize lip lines to some degree, but these seemed to blur my lip lines away and my lips looked so smooth! These also didn’t crack even after a few hours of wear.

In terms of wear time, this is my only issue. Continue reading “Physician’s Formula Velvet Lipsticks Review”

November ipsy bag!

Hello my lovelies! I can’t believe November has come to an end, though Thanksgiving may have passed, might I say how incredibly thankful I am for all you guys! You have no idea how much you have helped Hailey and I, and how much you mean to us!

This months bag has to be my favorite so far!

Lately I have been very obsessed with the natural look, the subtitle makeup that isn’t too over the top. For me personally that has been my 2017 fall look! So when I opened this months bag I was thrilled!

First up in my bag was….

Benefits they’re real sample mascara:

I adore this mascara so so much and will definitely buy the actual mascara. This mascara gives me so much volume, I already have camel lashes, but this mascara brings them out even more (I keep trying to flutter those chemistry test grades away but it doesn’t seem to be working!) the only thing that o don’t like about it is it takes awhile to get off at the end of the day, which his both good and bad, I mean I’m glad that it stays on 24 hours, but at the end of the day when I just want to go to bed and I’m spending an extra 2 minuets rubbing it off, it can get a little tiresome.

3 Favorite Dark Lipsticks for Winter!

Hello guys! It is almost officially winter and I have been loving dark berry lip colors and just darker shades in general! Today I’m going to share with you my favorite dark lipsticks for winter. These happen to all be from the drugstore and are ridiculously affordable.

I did do a post like this last year, if you would like to see how much my blogging skills have improved, click here

Anyways! Here are my recommendations!

Milani Color Statement Lipstick in the shade Chocolate Berries –

This is a beautiful, more wearable, brown toned purple! I love the formula and the color on this and it is such a lovely lipstick. This one is not a matte finish, instead its more of a satin. I like that because I think a little luminosity makes your lips look bigger which is important when you are wearing dark colors!

Elf Moisturizing Lipstick in the shade Razzle Dazzle Red –

This is my favorite dark red of all time. Against fair skin this looks beautiful and on medium and deep I think you would still really love this. It’s a very universal deep red! It is beautiful and lasts a long time even though it isn’t a matte formula. This won’t bleed outside your lip lines but it will transfer so you do have to be a little careful with it!

NYX Simply Vamp lipstick in the shade Bewitching –

NYX Butter Gloss Review

Hello guys! I recently bought a couple of new NYX lip products and one of them was this butter gloss!

It turns out I actually have been really loving the formula so here is my final thoughts on it:

(From the NYX website)

Each glossy color delivers sheer to medium coverage that melts onto your lips and is never sticky, leaving your lips soft, supple and kissable.
