Ross haul!

Hello my lovelies! Can you believe that it’s already April?! As a senior I can’t!

A few weeks ago, I needed a bit of retail therapy, so I went to check out my local Ross. I love how both Ross and Marshall’s little beauty section has a bunch of hidden little gems!

The first thing I got was a little pink portable mirror. I was going on an orchestra event that weekend and remembered that I would be sharing a hotel room with 4 girls, all of which will be fighting over the mirror. So I decided to get myself my own little one. The mirror was only $4.99

Next I got these super cute ankle high black booties. My new craze his ankle high booties, and all of mine are either brown or tan, so I wanted to shake things up a bit by getting some black ones. The booties where only $12.99

Next I got some rose oil. Now I’m a huge fan of anything rose or lavender. And I especially love rose oil and rose water, so when I saw this rose oil I just had to get it. I really love how there are real roses in it. It gives it a natural smell. Perfect for going to bed with. This was $4.99

Next I got a set of scrunchies. Recently I was going through some old hair accessories I used to have as a kid, and realized how much I love scrunchies. They are majorly under appreciated. The scrunchies I had as a kid didn’t really match the outfits I tend to wear, so when I found these scrunchies and realized that they would match a lot of my outfits I was so in love! These were only $3.99!

1. We are seniors in high school! Christine is 18 and Hailey is still 17.

2. Both of us have just gotten into colleges, Christine has just gotten accepted to Elmira College and Hailey has gotten accepted to University of the Pacific!

3. In college Christine plans on studying early childhood education! Hailey plans to study Music Industry and become a concert promoter for artists and bands in Los Angeles!

4. Both of us love music and love playing together! Christine plays violin, piano, guitar and ukulele, and Hailey plays piano, viola and bass guitar.

SheIn review

Last month I was on Pinterest when I saw this post about a super awesome clothing store called SheIn.

Now automatically i knew it was a cheap Chinese clothing store..but I started scrolling and well…I bought a few items.

I didn’t regret buying them because I thought, what better experience to put on the blog!

Last time I ordered from one of these websites it took 5 months to ship, so that’s what I expected with this site.

I am happy to say that for SheIn this wasn’t the case! I got the package in the mail a week after ordering it,which left me happily surprised.

The first thing I ordered was a pink crown fold wallet for $10.00

I love anything with a crown because I strongly believe I am a princess 👑

When it came in the mail i had a mini heart attack when I opened it.on the wallet it had this tan protective cloth on it, but it looked like it was part of the wallet, but luckily it wasnt! This wallet is totally cute, and is 100% like the picture on their website. I adore this wallet!
Next was the Cactus print zipper makeup bag for $5.00

This was also super cute, and the Cactus print is so in right now. Now I got this bag for the purpose of being a pencil bag for school in September and it will still be used as such. Before it came in i was a bit scared it would be too small, but when it came in i was pleased to see it was the perfect size for a pencil bag! The only thing I didn’t like about this is that when you opened it up, it smelt like dead fish,so I had to sit it out for a few days.

The 1pc color shape random puff (beauty blender) for $3.00 was what I ordered next.

I found it kinda funny how it was picked randomly, so you didn’t know much random puff you were getting. But I also liked the surprise. The puff i got in the mail was exactly like shown online, and it works perfectly!

Now on to the clothes!

One Month – One Palette Challenge: July!

Hello everyone and welcome back to our blog! I’ve seen a couple other girls do this on wordpress and so I wanted to do it myself on this Bobbi Brown palette that I want to use more. It is basically where you only use this one palette for a month, I think that it will help me keep this in rotation because I never use it. I never use this and want to give it some love since it was a gift and I could never give it away even though you all know I love decluttering. After this I’ll give it a break and then I actually want to do a panthatpalette challenge on it, which will be fun!

As you can see only the white and silver eyeshadows have really been used. I really don’t give this palette too much love but it is beautiful.

Thank you so much for 1,000 followers! It means so much to us because we love having you guys read and comment on what we write. Our original goal was 100 followers so to get to 1,000 really means so much! We didn’t even think we would reach 100, so this is a really big deal! Thank you to anyone whose ever commented and followed us or read a post!

Our first follower was annabankester who has an amazing blog herself and continues to support us so we wanted to give her a huge thank you for her support from literally day one.

Our goals now for blogging are to gain more of you in our little community and to have a broader variety, like having more fashion and skincare bloggers enjoy our posts. We also want to post three times a week this summer until school starts!

Taking My Makeup Inventory!

Hello everyone! This was inspired by someone on instagram who took her makeup inventory and saw that she had 287 products in total. I was curious about how much I owned and so I decided to do this. It will be long, so grab a snack or something! I think this is a fun way to show you guys what I own and any of you reading, feel free to do this post as well because it is fun!

Yet Another Huge Beauty Product Declutter

Hello everyone! I’ve been going crazy with spring cleaning and I have been decluttering out the things I don’t use. I realized I have so many samples that I don’t use and a lot of products I hold on to for no reason! I recently did one of these so I will link it here for you guys to check out!

So let’s get into the decluttering:

Eyeshadow:

 

After getting myself some really nice eyeshadow I realized that these baked Laura Geller eyeshadows (left) aren’t that pigmented, so I’m letting them go. The color sites mineral shadow on the bottom is really great formula wise but I don’t use those bright green and blue shades. The neutral dr haushka shadows are not something I reach for since I have so many neutral mattes. I also realized that I have all the shades from this lancome palette in my collection so I’m going to get rid of it.

Girl Talk #2 – Relationships

Lets face it girls, we all have that one friend who is dating a guy you don’t like,but she is so caught up with him that she is ignoring you.Yet there is so much about him that just doesn’t add up, or he is being rude to her. What do you do then? You want to shield and protect her from his toxicness. You wonder why she sticks around after everything he keeps doing, but if you talk to her about it she is going to get upset, insisting that they are alright, and that he’s perfect in every way.

Maybe you are that girl, and your friends keep telling you they don’t like your boyfriend. In that case, they’re probably right if their suspicions are grounded. We know, we have been there. Completely head over heels for the guy. Love can leave you blind. WE KNOW! It’s very typical. Unlike you, your friends aren’t completely head over heels for your guy (at least we hope not) and their thoughts can be pretty valuable because their outside the situation. If they’re saying they don’t like him and have reasons, then it’s a good idea to start thinking over the whole situation yourself.

How to: Grow Your Blog Semi – Easily

Hello everyone! Gaining readers and blog followers is difficult when you just start out, so here are tips that helped this blog grow, and can be applied to any blog. I hope this is helpful for all of you who want to blog but are discouraged that no one is reading, or are beginners!

1. use tags! – Easiest one!

 

Be sure you don’t use too many and also that they are all separated. What tags do is put your post in the WordPress reader so other bloggers can find it, it’s similar to using hashtags on Instagram.

2.Spread the word every time you post something
