Haul: Haircare and Bodycare

Hello guys! I know I just did a mini ulta haul for makeup and skincare, but I was out of a lot of bodycare and hair stuff as well, so I did a separate stock up on those products! These are all cruelty free, so if you were looking for cruelty free shower products here you go:

Haircare:

Giovanni 2Chic Avocado and Olive Oil Ultra Moist Shampoo – This is an amazing shampoo if you have curly hair like I do! I’ve emptied so many deluxe size samples and loved them so I bought the full size. Also this shampoo is only $8.99, so its a complete bargain!

Giovanni 2Chic Avocado and Olive Oil Ultra Moist Leave-In Conditioner and Styling Elixir – I’ve tried this from a foil sample once, and it was so nice! My current leave in conditioner cannot be considered cruelty free since I couldn’t find any info on the brand, I am happy to find one that is fully cruelty free and works well!

Empties: January and February

Hello guys! Today I’m going to share my empties from January and February. This is going to be a little bit long, so lets get into it:

Makeup:

Vapour Beauty Chapstick – This was a good chapstick, but it is also so expensive, more than I would ever pay for a lip balm, so would not repurchase!

Smashbox Photo Finish Lash Primer – I would definitely repurchase! When I was using this my lashes would feel healthy even with me wearing mascara every day and now my lashes feel more brittle without that primer barrier between them and mascara!

Emoji Lip Balm – I wouldn’t repurchase because the scent was so strong and artificial!

Laura Geller Marble Lipstick in Vista- I really like her marble lipsticks but I would not repurchase this shade, it was a little too warm toned for me and made my teeth look very yellow.

Body Care:

Philosophy Pure Grace Body Cream – This is a brand you would think would be cruelty free but it actually is not, I was fooled for a while. I would not repurchase just because of their cruelty free status!

Noniko Deodorant Sample – I liked this, it it kept me from sweating or smelling during the day. I couldn’t find anything on their cruelty free status though, so I will wait to purchase a full size!

Miscellaneous:

Jane Iredale Botanical Brush Cleaner – THIS didn’t seem to fully clean my brushes so I would not repurchase.

Skincare and Samples:

Terremere coconut and jojoba moisturizer – If I saw this on hautelook again for super cheap I would one hundred percent repurchase! This is so good if you have dry skin!

Jurlique Activating Water Essence – I did like this, but I would not purchase a full size because it isn’t cruelty free!

Jurlique Eye Contour Balm -If you like jurlique products and you are looking for a new eye cream, I would look into this one, it’s lovely! For me personally though, i would not purchase a full size.

Acure Eye Cream – This wasn’t hydrating enough for me, but it was very light and airy. If you are more oily skinned and want something super light you might like this. Wouldn’t repurchase!

Acure Moroccan Face Oil – This felt very heavy on my skin and it did clog my pores, I would not purchase a full size!

Acure Sensitive Facial Cream – This is so moisturizing and I am loving it, it is more of a balm consistency but melts onto your skin. I would definitely purchase a full size!

Acure Seriously Glowing Facial Serum – This was nice, but I like the Evan Healy rose serum better, so I am going to purchase a full size of that one, not this one!

Can you guys tell I am trying to reign in my sample drawer? I have way too many! I hope you enjoyed this empties post, there will be another one coming in April!

Mini Makeup/Haircare/Skincare Haul

Hello guys! Welcome back to our blog, I recently went shopping and I wanted to show you what I got. I have managed to curb my makeup spending but unfortunately I went a little bit nuts with my skincare!

Makeup:

Juice beauty stem cellular CC cream – this is a repurchase for me, I love this so much! Unfortunately the price on this went up fourteen dollars since I last repurchased which is nuts, so this might have to be my last tube!

Vapour beauty halo illuminator – this is a gorgeous little stick illuminator that I’m excited to try. This brand also has amazing ethics so I’m happy to support them!

Another Vanity Declutter!

Hi guys and welcome back to our blog! I recently did a makeup only declutter but the rest of my vanity got a little bit out of control, so let me show you what I am getting rid of:

Nail polish:

Zoya polish in the shade Mason – This looks really similar to a butter london polish I have and I prefer that one.

Butter London Nail Lacquer in the shade Knackered – This is a glitter transformer polish, I don’t really use polishes like this.

Butter London Nail Lacquer in the shade nude stilettos – This is a sheer nude, and if I was going to use a shade like this I probably just wouldn’t wear polish at all.

Butter London Nail Lacquer in the shade fairy lights – this is pretty but it is more for nail art, which I don’t do.

Nail four side buffer – I rarely ever use this and I just got a more compact one so I will let this go.

Perfume:

Jo Malone samples in the scents Nectarine Blossom and Honey, English Pear and Freesia and Peony and Blush Suede – I think I stole these from my mom so I am going to give them back to her, these are some of her favorite ones.

Makeup Brushes:

Terremere Kabuki Brush – This was nice but I never reached for it so I am going to give it away.

Tarte Mascara wand – this goes to some tarte lash product that I gave away, so I no longer need the brush.

It brushes for Ulta, angled brush for liner and brows – this was a little too flimsy of an angled brush for me, I recently got a becca one that I love so I don’t need this one.

Jewelry:

Navajo Necklace and Bracelet set – These are soo stunning except I never wear them. My mom’s friend collects jewelry and I think she would love these a lot so they are going to her.

Pearl earrings – I never wear dangly earrings because they get caught in my hair, these are so classic and I’m sure someone will love them.

Watercolor book earrings – These are handmade and so pretty but I don’t wear them, I know someone will love to have them.

Makeup bags:

I am getting rid of these two because I never use them. I realized a bit ago that i sort of hoard cosmetic bags and I am trying to fix that!

That is it for my declutter, I hope you guys enjoyed this post! Have a great day you guys 🙂

Beauty Empties: July-August

Hello and welcome back to our blog! I was going to hold off posting another empties until the end of the year but my box filled up super quickly,  so it is time to show you guys my empties.

Makeup:

EOS – Won’t repurchase because it isn’t cruelty free!

Lancome Color Design lipstick in The New Pink – This is depotted so technically the container is done and I threw it in here! Won’t repurchase because it isn’t cruelty free but it is beautiful.

Jane Iredale Purelash Primer – I like my smashbox one better so I won’t buy this one in full size.

Eau Thermale Avene emollient Balm – Didn’t love this, so I would not repurchase!

Going Cruelty-Free – Skincare, Haircare, Perfume + Misc

Hello guys! I have almost made my makeup collection cruelty free and I started picking out which other products I need to use up. I am happy to report that my nail polish is 100% cruelty free, but my skincare and haircare are not there yet! Today I’m going to show you what I have left to use up and it actually isn’t very much which is exciting for me!

Skincare:

Lancome Bi-Facil Makeup remover – This is a deluxe sample and it is almost gone. I have another from Florane (cruelty free) to try next.

Elizabeth Arden Let There Be Light – I found a dupe from ELF that I will buy instead once I finish it, it’s about 3/4 gone!

Haircare:

Hair One Hair Conditioner – This is HG of mine and also a gray area. I couldn’t find evidence that it is cruelty free and I also could not find evidence that it isn’t. Until I’m sure I am going to count it as not cruelty free!

Massive Beauty Declutter!

Hi guys! Lately I have bought some new products and its time for me to get rid of the old stuff that I no longer am using.  I’ve cleaned out my makeup and also my skincare and samples for this declutter so I’m going to show you what I’m getting rid of.

I also know that Christine has been beauty purging as well so maybe you’ll see a post like this from her soon!

Makeup:

I never color correct except for canceling redness so I’m getting rid of the bulky palette and I’ll purchase green concealer separately. That becca quad is not good quality in my opinion but christine wanted to try it so I’ll give it to her. The mascara is expired so it is going away! I never reach for coral so the milani gloss got no use from me. I also never reach for single shadows so I duped all of those seven shades in palettes. they are so amazing though, if you like single shadows I highly recommend these!

Nails:

I didn’t use the nude polishes from Deborah Lippman or the barielle. The butter london one was so cool toned it looked awful on me, and the pink zoya polish is just not me anymore. I also never do nail art so I don’t need the stickers, and I hate nail files I am keeping only one. Continue reading “Massive Beauty Declutter!”

John Frieda Sea Salt Spray Review

Hello fellow beauties!

With Summer here, I thought what better season to share this sea salt spray!

Now sea salt spray has gotten more and more popular as the years go by. So I wanted to test out this new craze.

img_20170626_133344.jpg
I ordered the  John Frieda Beach Blonde Sea Waves Sea Salt Spray from amazon. When ordering this I had the image of beautiful waves. I also watched probably a thousand videos on how to use this product, so that I could be sure I was using it right.

While watching these videos I realized that most of this girls had short hair, but I didn’t really think of it at the time.

I also have incredibly straight hair. So I knew getting the desired wavy beach curls would be a challenge.

The spray arrived in only a few days, and of course I ripped it out of the bag and tried it out. Continue reading “John Frieda Sea Salt Spray Review”

2017 Empties – Half Way Through the Year!

Hello guys and welcome back to our blog! I’ve been collecting many empties since March and my box is now overflowing with skincare and makeup empties so it is time to do a post and throw away the trash. I finished up 23 items in the span of four months which I am pretty happy with. Here is what I managed to finish in the first half of 2017!

Makeup:

W3ll People Expressionist Mascara – already repurchased, I love this as a base mascara it is perfect for making your lashes look long and natural!

Physicans Formula Organic wear mascara – I didn’t really think this did anything for my lashes so I would not repurchase.

Tarte Tartiest Mascara – I love this for volume, already on my backup tube

Tarte Lights Camera Lashes – This used to be my favorite but it really isn’t cutting it anymore, I wouldn’t repurchase.

Laura Geller Italian Marbled Lipstick – This was a beautiful one, I love the formula but I have two more to use so I won’t repurchase yet

Skincare:

Origins Night-A-Mins moisturizer – I loved this so much for the winter, but unfortunately origins is not cruelty free so I will not purchase a full size.

Caudalie Makeup Cleansing remover oil – I also loved this but unfortunately this brand is not cruelty free either so I will be looking for a dupe instead of repurchasing.

Neurogena Ultra Light Cleansing oil – I would really recommend this, it lasts a long time and you can also use it to wash your brushes.

BareMinerals Makeup Remover – I liked that this was super gentle and it did do a good job. I would repurchase.

Caudalie micellar water – I loved this and it made my skin so soft and nourished. I would recommend this to you guys, I did love it but it isn’t cruelty free so I will have to find an alternative.

Santitas Essential Eye Essence – This was probably my favorite eye cream I have tried so far. I really enjoyed it and I will rebuy it.

MyChelle Ultra Hylauronic Hydrating serum – I absolutely love this, it singlehandly got rid of any dry patches on my skin, If you have dry skin you need this. I am repurchasing!

Caudalie 3 in 1moisturizer – I didn’t find this hydrating enough for me but it was lightweight. I don’t personally think I would ever buy it again.

Lip Balms:

Vaseline – I love vaseline but it isn’t cruelty free so I will purchase some coconut oil as a replacement.

Korres greek yogurt lip balm – I absolutely loved this, I will definitely repurchase!

EOS – These aren’t cruelty free so I won’t repurchase and I also did not find them too hydrating which made me go through them quite quick.

Napoleon Perdis overnight lip treatment – I really did like this for the colder months. I would consider rebuying this but I think I can find something better for cheaper.

Hand Cream:

Dr. Hauschka hydrating hand cream – This was amazing but it is crazy pricy so I think I probably wouldn’t repurchase.

The body Shop almond hand cream (not pictured) – These are a bargain and I love the consistency because it is not greasy or heavy. Repurchased already!

Butter London Cuticle Balm – I really liked this but I have been using oil on my cuticles lately so I wouldn’t repurchase.

Samples:

Amorepacific Future Response Age defense cream – This was not very moisturizing and the full size is super pricy so it is a definite no go for me.

Krystals Cosmetics Rose Quartz Moisturizer – This was absolutely amazing! I loved it and I really want to get a full size!

That is all of my empties and I hope you enjoyed! I used up a lot of my non-cruelty free skincare which I am happy about!
