July Ipsy Bag!

Hello my lovelies!!! Unfortunately July has come to an end…but you know what that means!! Ipsy bag time!

I really liked this months bag because it had a mix of makeup and then like skinish care stuff. Now I say ish because most people don’t classify lip balm and skin care!

  • The Balm Nude Eyeshadow
  • Now a few months back I got this brand’s highlighter and I loved it! It was very pigmented and just the perfect shade of highlight for me so I was super excited to get this.
  • I absolutely love this shade, it blends really well and can go with about any warm colors.
  • Steve Laurant Blush
  • To begin with I love love love the rose gold packaging. I think it’s really aesthetically pleasing. I was a little bummed to get blush because I don’t really use blush. I still don’t really use blush, so if Hailey wants this she can have it! It wasn’t a bad blush, very natural pigment, it’s just I’m not a huge fan.
  • H2O+ Oasis Ultra Hydrating hand cream
  • I also really like how aesthetically pleasing this tube is! Plus I really like it because of the term h2O because it makes me think of my FAVORITE childhood show called h2O just add water! (Like if you’ve ever watched that!) the consistency is a little watery, but not so much that it takes away from the hydrating. I wouldn’t say it ULTRA hydrating because I have to re-apply so much, but when I use it on my face it really does keep my face hydrated.
  • Mellow pink lipstick
  • I heard that this morning as a fairly new brand coming out, so I was super excited to get my hands on their lipstick. I love how the tube is rounded kinda like a MAC lipstick. As I said in my NYX lipstick review, i have recently been getting into brighter shades lately,
  • so I was even more excited to find out that it was a bright pink shade! I absolutely love it. It has a semi long last, I have to re-apply about every 6 hours, but other than that I have nothing negative to say!
  • Bkr Paris water lip balm
  • When I opened this up, I was blown away from the way the packaging looked. I really liked how they packaged it. The lip balm itself looked super aesthetically appealing too soooo!!!
  • What I really like about this is not only does it hydrate my lips perfectly, but it gives that super watery look that’s so in right now. So I love it!
  • That’s it for today’s blog, comment down below what you got in your Ipsy bag, or if you have any of these in your beauty drawer!

Favorite Drugstore Lipsticks!

Hello love bugs!

Now you know how your girl love her some drug store makeup! Here is a little mini review on some new lipsticks I got!

Nyx liquid suede

Now I lost this one just recently and I’m so upset! I really love this lipstick. It gives the perfect matte finish and it’s so long lasting!

Nyx lingerie

This one I love love love! I tend to lean more toward the red shades when it comes to lipsticks, but this is my favorite non red shade of lipstick I have! I love the thick matte finish, but it doesn’t feel thick against your lips! My only advice it to put on lip balm before application, once it dries it tends to flake off, lip balm keeps it smooth all day.

Liquid catsuit

Like I said before. I love red shades. I’ve never had a super bright red lipstick so I was super excited to get this. Unfortunately after I put it on it began to crust and flake, so I didn’t like it as much. I do now put on lip balm before hand, it does help, just not as much as I would like.

That’s it for today! What’s your favorite brand of lipstick?

My night time routine

Hello love bugs!

I remembered way back when our blog was little itty bitty fetus, I did a morning routine, so today I shall share my night time routine.

  1. Remove all makeup.

I remove my makeup using coconut oil, I find it really helps to remove my mascara. For a deeper cleanse I use rose water to remove all the excess dirt and makeup. I use a cotton ball until there’s no more makeup/dirt. After that I spray the Mario Badescu facial spray on and massage it into my skin. Once a week I will use a charcoal face mask before bed

2. Brush and braid hair

My hair has grown a lot longer since cutting it, and I find that if I have it down or up in a pony tail I wake up with the most horrific knots. So I brush through my hair about 100 times (50 each side) to make it soft, silky and knot free. Next I put a very little amount of rose oil onto my fingers and run it through my hair. This helps with shine, after this I braid my hair and call it good! I also find the rose oil helps my hair smell amazing the next morning when I take the braids out.

3. Brush teeth

Naturally I brush my teeth. I use baking soda and lemon juice first. I find it helps whiten my teeth as well as break down plaque and other gross stuff resting on your teeth! Next I use Tom’s mint toothpaste to brush my teeth. I really like how Tom’s has no fluoride in their products, it’s all natural!

4. Switch on my essential oil diffuser

I have a really hard time sleeping at night. With a little lavender oil in the air I find my sleeping has greatly improved! This especially helps after a long day of school and retail!

5. Put my mouth guard on and call it a night!

As a high stress person, I grind my teeth at night. This causes a lot of pain in my jaw the next morning, so I use my night guard to stop myself from grinding, after that I go to sleep.

That’s it for my nighttime routine! What do you do?

February Ipsy bag!

Hello my lovelies!! The month of love has come and gone, although I think every month should be a month of love.

Now you may be wondering, what happened to January’s bag?

Welllll let’s just say I completely forgot! My plan was to do a combine post, but then I completely forgot what I got in my January bag.

Now on to the review!

Meteor shower by BLAQ

This little bath scrub I thought I would really like. I’m all for sugar scrubs and other bath type scrubs. When I tried it in the shower it does turn your skin an ash grey. Which it says on the packaging, but it makes it sound so easy to scrub off, but I found it to be very much the opposite. I felt like I was scrubbing off my skin just to get it off. Also the mess is inevitable, it’s impossible not to get it everywhere. My whole bathtub with black and it took hours of scrubbing to get off. Definitely did not like!

Marsk Sydney London silver Eyeshadow

This eyeshadow I didn’t really like either, it was a nice change from the usual gold that I get in all my Ipsy bags, but never in my life would I wear silver eyeshadow, I will probably regift this to someone more likely to wear it!

Sand and Sky brilliant skin detoxify and brighten mask

Now as many of you know, I love face masks! And I was so excited to try this one out, it’s a clay mask so it’s pretty thick. I left it on for about an hour and the results were amazing, my skin already looked slightly brighter already!

Lychee + Gold healthy glow rose gold blush

This I will admit I was a little scared of, I’m more of a highlighter girl, blushes I tend to just not like, but after trying this out I love it! It’s almost like a blush and a highlighter combined, not to mention it smells like strawberries! (Don’t mind my arm in the picture, it was freezing!)

Luxie duo brush

I always love getting brushes in my bags, it’s not as if I have like a million already! This is an addiction I will admit to having, the brush it very soft and application is subtile and smooth, plus it’s pink!!

That’s it for today!

Are you more of a highlighter or blush girl?

LA colors eyeshadows

Hello my lovelies!

I can’t believe how quickly March is coming upon us!

Today I will be reviewing LA colors eyeshadows.

The first palette I bought was a larger one that had a bunch of brighter colors. I was in a bright colored eyeshadow mood, and it was like 4 bucks so I bought it. I will say a lot of the shadows had a lot of pigment, and work really well, but there was just too much glimmer and shimmer in the shadows, not to mention the second i stuck my brush in one of the shades, it broke off! All in all I didn’t like this palette personally a whole ton. If you’re into lighter and more shimmery colors I do recommend it though!

The second palette I got when I was going to a photo shoot and needed some darker colors. I was happily pleased with the pigment and application that this palette gave me, it was very good for the price and brand! I have nothing wrong with this palette, I like the mixes of nude tones it has too!

Ta ta loves!

Pan That Palette Intro 2018

Hello guys! Welcome back to our blog! I’ve been in total use up my makeup mode lately, and I am trying to keep any of it from going bad in my collection, and get it all to be cruelty free.

You guys have seen this palette so many times before if you have been following our blog for a while, I’ve been using it exclusively for a few months. (While I may have this intro up way late, I have been working on this since the first of the year!)

This is the palette that I will be panning! I’ve never done this before so I chose a neutral palette with only six shadows so there is no way I can mess up, even if I’m not great at panning.

Here is what my palette looks like at the beginning of 2018!

Makeup Declutter for the new Year!

Hello guys! I got a lot of new makeup to play with for Christmas, which I’m so grateful for, but I really needed to get some of the older products out of my collection to make room for the new. You guys seem to love these posts, I’m so glad you do because I love making them.

Here is what I’m getting rid of!

Lip products:

Laura Geller Lipstick in Vista – This just is an average nude and it wasn’t exciting me so I let it go.

NYX simply Vamp Lip Crayons – This winter I wore more brown or red based dark lipsticks, not purple, so unfortunately these have to go.

Laura Geller Lip Pops Lip Gloss – Dark colored lip gloss is just stressful because it will get everywhere, so I’m letting this go.

NYX butter gloss in creme brulee – I assure you, I love this formula!! This shade was a bit too light pink for my taste. I picked up two better shades for me recently and I enjoy those more!

Other Makeup:

Tarte Play with Clay Quad, Naked 2 basics palette – Lowkey nervous about parting with these palettes, but I have so many duplicate shades, and I don’t need these.

E.L.F haul

Hello all!

I am so sorry for not posting as much this past month, school has been killer if you know what I mean.

Today I am going to be sharing with you all my E.L.F haul!
E.L.F baked eyeshadow

img_0027.jpg

This eyeshadow is so beautiful I absolutely love the colors, unfortunately most of the colors are hard to get off, I cannot apply this eyeshadow with a brush because it’s very hard to pick things up. When using my finger, I usually have to rub the shade a few times till I get the pigment I want.

E.l.f no smudge pot

This little container is the holy grail!

I have always had the problem of my eyeshadow/eyeliner smudging off by the end of the day so that I look like this:

I have to admit, when I bought this I wasn’t convinced, but I’m actually really surprised at the outcome! The times I have used this, my eye makeup as stayed on all day!

I love it!

Too Faced Totally Cute Palette Review

Hello guys! I have been excited to review this palette for you for ages and so here it is! Especially with palettes I like to give myself a lot of time to play with them and really figure out my thoughts. Here is what I think about this palette!

Overview:

  • Cruelty free!
  • Nine shades, 3 mattes, 6 shimmers.
  • Price: &$10.99 at marshalls!

There are a few things that I like and don’t like about this palette, here are my thoughts:

The shades Double scoop, bunny fu fu and chocolate donut are some of the best mattes in my collection. I love how they feel, their smooth and pigmented and blend nicely. They don’t show up too well in swatches, they perform a lot better on my eyes. Shooting star is a beautiful face highlight, pigmented and smooth, Clover was gorgeous and pigmented but a bit chunky and Storm cloud is my favorite in the palette. It looks scary and bright blue in the pan but on your eyes it is this gorgeous duochrome smokey blue brown shimmer and I absolutely frickin love it.

Now for the bad, Continue reading “Too Faced Totally Cute Palette Review”

Mini Collective Haul!

Hello everyone! I’ve been picking up a few bits and bobs from marshalls and the drugsture the past couple of weeks and I just wanted to collect them and show you guys. I did pick up one super exciting product from too faced, so here we go:

Makeup:

Too faced Totally Cute Palette – I found this for $10.99 at marshalls which was so cool. I have wanted to try the nine pan palette formula for a long time, and upon first impression I am loving it, I will do a full review if you guys want!

Stila Got Inked Cushion Liner in the shade sapphire ink – I got rid of all my navy eyeliners in my last declutter so I wanted to try this out. I really like stila as well!

Skincare:

Burts bees chapstick in pomegranate – I finished my pacifica chapstick so quick, so I decided to try this instead to see if it would last me longer. I love burts bees lip products and this is super nice.

Alba Botanica Hawaiian Detox Frothy Scrub – This is my cruelty free body wash to replace the softsoap one I had. This smells so nice and fresh and I am excited to try it.

Alba Botanica Hawaiian hand and body lotion – This smells like chocolate and I had to pick it up! It is so thick and moisturizing so I am really looking forward to using this.
