Do’s and Don’ts of Blogging

Hello guys! So many of you find my little blogging tips mini series helpful that I decided to make another one. I always get such sweet comments on post like this so thank you all for that! Todays post will be do’s and dont’s of blogging (what not to do!)

Do edit your posts and don’t make typos 

First and foremost editing! Editing will prevent the unprofessional typos that inevitably will occur. I sometimes have typos actually, trying to work on this!

Do Promote your post but don’t be annoying about it!


Promoting your new post on social media can be really valuable but don’t spam your followers feeds with it and go overly crazy to get views. Also in the comments of someone else’s post don’t shove your new post down their throat in efforts to get them to check it out, it is unprofessional.

How to: Grow Your Blog Semi – Easily

Hello everyone! Gaining readers and blog followers is difficult when you just start out, so here are tips that helped this blog grow, and can be applied to any blog. I hope this is helpful for all of you who want to blog but are discouraged that no one is reading, or are beginners!

1. use tags! – Easiest one!

 

Be sure you don’t use too many and also that they are all separated. What tags do is put your post in the WordPress reader so other bloggers can find it, it’s similar to using hashtags on Instagram.

4 Tips for Gorgeous Blog Photos (Without a Camera)

Hi guys! Welcome back to another blogging tips sort of post, I hope this will be helpful to anyone who is starting out, or if you don’t have a camera and are using your phone! Even if you have been blogging for ages, comment down below your own tricks for nice photos, since I am no pro here!

Backgrounds for Photos –

You can create backgrounds out of things you already own or cheap materials. A white background or marble one looks the cleanest. You can pick up a tile of marble from a home improvement store for $2 for pictures. I have this white leather stool (from Poppin!) that I always use the side of for pictures. You can use anything, so its worth experimenting!
