Beauty Empties: January + February

Hey guys! Welcome back to our blog. Today it is time to talk about empties! These are some of my favorite posts to write, so let’s get into it-

Makeup

Becca First Light Priming Filter

This primer is so pretty on the skin and it really does hydrate and give you a glow. It keeps my skin from feeling and looking dry under foundations. I’ve already repurchased!

Tarte Gifted Mascara

I wasn’t jazzed about this mascara in my original review, but it is gorgeous once it dries out a little. It is easy to work with, it is volumizing, it is super black, it doesn’t get everywhere throughout the day, I would repurchase!

Tarte Tartiest Mascara

I really enjoyed this mascara while I had it, but I don’t miss it at all. It makes your lashes really black, but sometimes can really clump them up. I don’t want to spend $20 on this mascara, so I won’t repurchase.

Tarte Lights Camera Lashes mascara

I know I used up all Tarte mascaras these past couple months, it is pretty funny. But this mascara is nice and really lengthening and separating. It was a good product, but I prefer my NYX Worth The Hype now!

EOS Crystal in Strawberry

I wouldn’t repurchase this because it isn’t cruelty free, and also because I don’t feel like EOS lip products actually hydrate my lips very well, I need something heavier.

Skincare

Acure Seriously Glowing facial serum

This has since been rebranded as the Acure brilliantly brightening serum, this is the old packaging. But the product is so amazing if you have dry skin like I do! This winter my skin has been so dry and this face serum is the only thing that is hydrating and thick enough for me. I’ve already repurchased!

Derma E Hydrating Night Cream

This is another staple product for me, I love this moisturizer, it does such a nice job keeping my skin hydrated and locking in other products. It is nice and thick but it isn’t greasy and it soaks into your skin well. Already repurchased!

Mychelle Perfect C eye cream

This was an okay eye cream, it definitely was brightening under my eyes and I really enjoyed that. My only issue with it was that it wasn’t as hydrating as I wanted it, so I’ll just keep bouncing around between eye creams for now.

Bodycare:

Alba Botanica Hawaiian body scrub

I didn’t like this scrub at all, the granules were too thick, and if I ever had a cut on my legs or arms, this would sting. It also left my body feeling a little too oily for my taste. Wouldn’t repurchase!

Haircare:

Juice Organics Repairing Hair Mask

This was a lovely and super hydrating hair mask, I would definitely repurchase this. I really loved what it did for my hair during these cold months, it made my curls nice and hydrated and bouncy!

Earth Science Olive and Avocado hair masque

I liked this hair mask, it was good, but it wasn’t heavy enough for my dry and curly hair. It is a really nice mask and I think you’d like it if you have straight hair. Wouldn’t repurchase.

Mop C-System Hydrating conditioner

If you have been following us for a while, you would know that this was my 4th bottle of this conditioner at least! I love this conditioner so much, it leaves your hair so silky and soft. Repurchased!

That is it for my empties and I hope you guys enjoyed this post. Let me know something you have finished down below in the comments!

  1. Wow that’s a lot of Tarte mascara lol! I haven’t actually tried any mascara from Tarte, but I’d like to try the lights camera lashes one xx
