Urban Decay Comfort Matte Vice Lipstick Review

Hello guys! Welcome back to our blog, I am very excited to review this lipstick for you guys today, even though I know everyone has already shared their opinion, I want to share mine. Today I will review the comfort matte formula from the urban decay vice lipstick line! (I do have another one of these in a cream formula and that review will be up soon!

Overview:

  • Price: ($17)
  • Cruelty free!
  • 100 shades available

Promise:

  • Comfort Matte (CM): the creamiest matte (Ulta beauty website)

Immediately after I applied this comfort matte formula, it was gorgeous, not drying and very creamy (did live up to the promise), but in two hours it was incredibly drying. At first it made my lips look very smooth, no lines, and it was flattering. The color and pigment was still on my lips after a good 3 to 4 hours. These lipsticks were so pigmented and smooth to apply, very true to color, had a long wear time and a very pretty matte finish, however, the formula was so drying! I have liquid lipsticks that are less drying than this, and it is supposed to be comfortable.

Swatch:

(This is the shade Backtalk, a gorgeous mauvy pink nude, it is so pretty!)

Pros:

  • Very smooth application
  • super creamy
  • matte finish
  • good wear time (3 to 4 hours)
  • cruelty free!

Cons:

  • drying!
  • high price point

Overall, for the price, I can’t recommend the comfort mattes to you guys if they are nothing close to comfortable! I hope you guys enjoyed this review, if you did, I’m glad because I will have another urban decay review up very soon!

        1. You’re welcome! Thank you for putting your experience out there so everyone (including me) can learn about it because I previously didn’t know much at all about this disease and your posts are very enlightening

        2. I’ve wished to blog since I started out on this journey… but I never had the time for it. Now that I am going through a really difficult time (I have been diagnosed with SIBO so my treatments for Lyme has been stopped… you can check that out)
I decided to get some inspiration if possible and tell the world they’re not alone!
And hey, I guess I’ve made the right decision;)

  1. The shade is gorgeous but I’m a little disappointed to read that it was quite drying. I was interested in buying an urban decay lipstick but I have a dry lips anyway so I’m not as sure now. Great post though, I like your honesty!

By the way, I’ve nominated you for the Liebster Award (unsure if you’ve already done it)! xx
