NYX Butter Gloss Review

Hello guys! I recently bought a couple of new NYX lip products and one of them was this butter gloss!

It turns out I actually have been really loving the formula so here is my final thoughts on it:

(From the NYX website)

Each glossy color delivers sheer to medium coverage that melts onto your lips and is never sticky, leaving your lips soft, supple and kissable.

I think that these glosses do live up to the claim! They’ve actually become one of my favorite gloss formulas which is awesome because they are so cheap. The glosses do give sheer to medium coverage, the shade will tint your lip shade the color of the gloss and it is a noticeable effect. These really do leave your lips quite soft, they are really moisturizing. If I have a lipstick that is a little bit drying on I will just swipe some of this on on top and it is so much more comfortable and moisturizing after that. These don’t have any chunky glitter or blinding glitter like the Jouer toppers, instead its just a wet look kind of gloss which I prefer.

Swatch:

This shade is creme brulee!

Pros:

  • Moisturizing
  • sheer to medium coverage, the color will show up on your lips
  • no glitter, just gorgeous light shimmer for a wet look.
  • cruelty free!
  • They last a good amount of time for a gloss
  • not sticky at all!

Cons:

  • They do have a scent! (its a sweet smell which I don’t mind, but if you are sensitive to fragrance you might not like this!)

That’s all I have for you guys today! I hope you enjoyed this post, I really do like this gloss and I am definitely going to pick up more shades, very soon!!

    1. Hi! I’m not sure, you’ll have to swatch them. I can tell you this one is fairly light pink so I think it would work best on fair to light skin tones. Just experiment 🙂
Aw thanks so much! Yes of course I can, you’re welcome!
