2017 Empties – Half Way Through the Year!

Hello guys and welcome back to our blog! I’ve been collecting many empties since March and my box is now overflowing with skincare and makeup empties so it is time to do a post and throw away the trash. I finished up 23 items in the span of four months which I am pretty happy with. Here is what I managed to finish in the first half of 2017!

Makeup:

W3ll People Expressionist Mascara – already repurchased, I love this as a base mascara it is perfect for making your lashes look long and natural!

Physicans Formula Organic wear mascara – I didn’t really think this did anything for my lashes so I would not repurchase.

Tarte Tartiest Mascara – I love this for volume, already on my backup tube

Tarte Lights Camera Lashes – This used to be my favorite but it really isn’t cutting it anymore, I wouldn’t repurchase.

Laura Geller Italian Marbled Lipstick – This was a beautiful one, I love the formula but I have two more to use so I won’t repurchase yet

Skincare:

Origins Night-A-Mins moisturizer – I loved this so much for the winter, but unfortunately origins is not cruelty free so I will not purchase a full size.

Caudalie Makeup Cleansing remover oil – I also loved this but unfortunately this brand is not cruelty free either so I will be looking for a dupe instead of repurchasing.

Neurogena Ultra Light Cleansing oil – I would really recommend this, it lasts a long time and you can also use it to wash your brushes.

BareMinerals Makeup Remover – I liked that this was super gentle and it did do a good job. I would repurchase.

Caudalie micellar water – I loved this and it made my skin so soft and nourished. I would recommend this to you guys, I did love it but it isn’t cruelty free so I will have to find an alternative.

Santitas Essential Eye Essence – This was probably my favorite eye cream I have tried so far. I really enjoyed it and I will rebuy it.

MyChelle Ultra Hylauronic Hydrating serum – I absolutely love this, it singlehandly got rid of any dry patches on my skin, If you have dry skin you need this. I am repurchasing!

Caudalie 3 in 1moisturizer – I didn’t find this hydrating enough for me but it was lightweight. I don’t personally think I would ever buy it again.

Lip Balms:

Vaseline – I love vaseline but it isn’t cruelty free so I will purchase some coconut oil as a replacement.

Korres greek yogurt lip balm – I absolutely loved this, I will definitely repurchase!

EOS – These aren’t cruelty free so I won’t repurchase and I also did not find them too hydrating which made me go through them quite quick.

Napoleon Perdis overnight lip treatment – I really did like this for the colder months. I would consider rebuying this but I think I can find something better for cheaper.

Hand Cream:

Dr. Hauschka hydrating hand cream – This was amazing but it is crazy pricy so I think I probably wouldn’t repurchase.

The body Shop almond hand cream (not pictured) – These are a bargain and I love the consistency because it is not greasy or heavy. Repurchased already!

Butter London Cuticle Balm – I really liked this but I have been using oil on my cuticles lately so I wouldn’t repurchase.

Samples:

Amorepacific Future Response Age defense cream – This was not very moisturizing and the full size is super pricy so it is a definite no go for me.

Krystals Cosmetics Rose Quartz Moisturizer – This was absolutely amazing! I loved it and I really want to get a full size!

That is all of my empties and I hope you enjoyed! I used up a lot of my non-cruelty free skincare which I am happy about!

  1. Empties are the most satisfying!!!! That empty vaseline is giving me some serious goals (I am also using up any stray non-cruelty free products I happen to have! I’ve been saving up my empties so I hope to do a post soon 🙂
