Another Massive Makeup Declutter!

Hello everyone! It’s time for spring cleaning and taking old products out of my makeup stash. I love decluttering so here are all the things I’ve decided to part ways with!

Lip products:

All four of these glosses found their way to the bottom of my lip gloss box and I just never reach for them, their great products. The burts bees glosses are moisturizing but sheer so I never use them. I also don’t use my lip tint very much so into the decluttering bag it goes!

Eyeliner:

I actually did not like this Stila cushion liner, it was patchy and not very pigmented but the packaging is gorgeous so I kept it around, time to let it go.

Eyeshadow:

Both of these are not cruelty free, and I never reach for them anyways so I decided to get rid of them. The icon palette I would get more use out of if it had matte shades , and I used the Sephora palette up as much as I could!

Large palettes:

This is a great staple palette but I just don’t use it! It’s going to a friend who I know will use it more than I did.

Lip balms:

I recently discovered that EOS is not cruelty free, so since I have twelve, I’m getting rid of nine and keeping my favorites here which I will finish. This covergirl lip balm is way too waxy for me and also not cruelty free so out it goes.

Blush:

I’ve had this forever and I think it’s starting to go bad. It’s a chore to use this so I figured I’d just declutter it. It’s Bobbi brown so yet another non cruelty free is out of my collection!

Miscellaneous:

These little Jane Iredale and butter London glosses are not something I reach for. Vaseline isn’t cruelty free so goodbye to it!

23 items decluttered

17 items not cruelty free that are gone!

Thank you guys so much for reading and I hope that you also decide to spring clean your collections! I’m so happy to have gotten rid of things that are just taking up space because my makeup Wishlist is 70 items long 😂

  1. I did some research on the Icon palette to see if it was cruelty free. I thought it was. Do you mind sharing with me why its not cruelty free? Id love to get my facts straight! Thank you so much!

    1. Interesting! I didn’t find it on any lists saying that it was so I just thought that it wasn’t, but I could definitely be wrong! Where did you find that it was cruelty free?

      1. Haha, no worries! I screen shot the company’s FAQ, and they state they do not test on animals! So yah, go ahead and enjoy your icon palette! 😀

      1. Hi there! Oh yay! The brand I recommend is Arbonne (it’s not available in stores but through direct sales 😋). Each of the products contains carefully selected, botanically based ingredients and has been tested extensively and is consistently evaluated against the latest research on chemicals to ensure they are always mindful and cautious about everything the formulas contain. Arbonne products are formulated without animal products or by-products | artificial flavours | artificial sweeteners | benzene | bisphenol-a | carbon black | formaldehyde- donating preservatives | hydroquinone | mineral oil | parabens | petrolatum | phthalates | sodium laureth sulfates (SLES) | sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) | synthetic dyes | talc | triclosan | triethanolamine (TEA)!! Happy for you to email me direct and I can give you more info and see about samples – mandystinson78@gmail.com

  2. I’m not a fan of the Stila cushion liner either. The packaging is as you mentioned so pretty and the thought of a cushion liner isn’t a terrible thought, but it just want up to Stila standards in my opinion.
Great Post👍 btw. It’s fun to see what you find during a declutter. 😊

      1. Oh I am so relieved! I love Urban Decay and I got seriously worried because I’m also trying to go cruelty-free. The packaging looks seriously similar!

  3. Wow, I probably wouldn’t have gotten rid of that much stuff, that’s pretty brave of you! I just have this obsession with collecting makeup haha 😉 so it would be hard for me to get rid of things.
