Tricks to Stay Consistent with Blogging

Hi everyone! This is a different sort of post, I usually don’t talk about blogging because of course I am still learning myself, it’s only been about four months. But something I am great at is consistency so I thought maybe I should share some of my main tips with you all, since life always seems to get in the way of blogging and it is so hard for many bloggers to post consistently.

1. Schedule posts –

On weeks when you know you are going to be busy, schedule a post so you don’t have to worry about hitting publish. Writing it before the day you promised you’d post will take stress off of you. I usually schedule posts for Monday whenever I finish writing them Sunday evening or sometimes weeks in advance because of school.

2. Write when you can and when you find inspiration –

Not everyone is motivated to write every day, so if on one Sunday you write three posts in a sudden burst of inspiration, schedule them to spread them out so your followers can read them!

3. Find a schedule that works for you –

School and work definitely make it harder to blog! Find a schedule you can keep up with. for me, it’s once a week. Just because those big bloggers say to write every day doesn’t mean it will work for everyone, if you get burned out, dial it back to three times a week. If that is still too much then cut it down further. You can grow your blog posting once a week, it isn’t impossible, so don’t be afraid to do that!

4.Keep a journal of blogging ideas, you’ll be able to draft and create posts super easily –

You’ve probably heard this before, but it is so helpful! A journal of blogging ideas gives you a treasure trove of ideas to pick from when you aren’t feeling inspired, and reading through it will help you figure out what you want to write about. My journal stays in my room, but I probably will start taking it with me in my handbag because a new idea will pop into your head and then suddenly be gone! And it’s always the best ones too! For a post that is about a whole bunch of products or maybe a brand spotlight I find it useful to list out what products I’m going to be sharing with you guys!

5. Plan out what posts you want to do at the beginning of every month, just a rough framework, it doesn’t have to be set in stone!

This is something I didn’t do until recently but it is also super helpful. Having a long term plan or goal or something to work toward by the end of the month is sometimes inspiring and keeps me writing. Maybe it will help you guys as well! It also reminds me of what holidays are coming up and if you want to do season themed posts then it is wickedly helpful. I always do a favorites post like many beauty bloggers at the end of the month, so the calendar is useful for helping me plan out when I want to post that!

Thanks so much for reading everyone! Hopefully some of these tips help you and inspire you guys to blog! Thank you guys so much for all of your support! I also have a really exciting post for Thursday, or at least I’m crazy excited about it so stay tuned!

      1. I write a lot of blog ideas either on an app on my phone or in a notebook, but actually need to buy a diary for 2017! So far I’ve been okay but it gets lost if I have too many ideas at once, ha!

        1. A journal is so helpful for organizing but I find the calendars to be so useful. Even if you don’t really stick to the plan! Sometimes blogging ideas just sort of pop into your mind!

  2. I struggle with this so much! I’ve only been blogging for a couple of months as well, and time always seems to be the issue for me… Keeping a blog calendar with ideas sounds like a great tool! I will try to implement that and see if it helps me! Thanks for you post!
