Products I Sadly Won’t be Repurchasing

Hello everyone! Welcome to anyone who is new here, and thank you if you are returning. Today’s post is on products that I didn’t love, but these brands are still great!

It cosmetics Hello Lashes mascara –

I don’t like the brush on this mascara, it’s really weird and I find it is very hard to use because it doesn’t have bristles all around the brush, just three rows of them. So I found it extremely hard to apply and I didn’t like how long that took. The brush also didn’t grab any of my lashes. The formula I found to be nothing special and I didn’t really like it, also I kept making mistakes and getting it all over my lid due to the hard to use brush. So I definitely won’t be buying a new one of these any time soon, I really like It cosmetics and the message behind the company so I’ll definitely buy their other products. Although this is in my collection for a long time, I have never really reached for it, and I wouldn’t buy it again nor do I really recommend it. I think their newer mascaras like the superhero are a better bet.

Physicians Formula Organic Wear mascara –

I love that this is organic but the negatives definitely outweigh the positives. I found the brush way too big and it didn’t grab my lashes, another thing was that the formula came off extremely easily and I found pools of black under my eyes. I also didn’t feel like it lengthened my lashes or made any significant difference except making them darker, so I felt that this was a definite miss for me. I won’t be repurchasing it and I’m trying to use it up by using it as a base underneath other mascaras.

Elf shadow stick in the shade black/smoke –

One of my problems with shadow sticks is that their often hard to blend, and I found this one to be no exception. I loved that it had black liner on one end and smoky silver shadow on the other end, but I didn’t find that I liked it. I tested this out on my eyes a few times and I just was left with a line that I couldn’t blend easily which I dislike. I don’t think that this was worth the cash even if it was cheap. But this is a great concept and I still love the brand ELF. I also found the silver to be super pretty almost verging on a gunmetal which I loved!

Physicians Formula Highlighter in the shade Eyelight –

This is by far the worst product of the bunch as much as I hate to say it. The highlighter has big chunks of glitter in it and I find it looks chalky and really cheap when it’s on your face. The packaging feels  incredibly cheap as well, like kids makeup. It could look remotely okay on only the palest skin tones, it goes on fairly chalky white and it would look awful on medium to deeper skin tones. I don’t think it’s natural looking at all and I never reach for this because of the fact that I have much better more natural looking highlighters. Because it is so white and pink based it looks kind of “princess trashy”. Based on this I definitely won’t be repurchasing this.

I also don’t want anyone to think I hate drugstore makeup, or these brands because I definitely don’t! Drugstore makeup is a lifesaver on a budget and I normally like it cosmetics and elf, physicians formula has always been kinda iffy and hit or miss for me. I have so much drugstore makeup and just happen not to like it more often since I can’t swatch it before I buy it.
